Boss: Four Kings


Please. Please help me. Leveling up isn't an option, so please don't suggest it. 20+ hours on this and I can't kill one King. I'm close, but they're just too powerful and spawn too quickly.

Even some advice would be appreciated.

The best advice for 4kings is use the most powerful weapon you have, and really try and learn to dodge their attacks. I would say forget about poise and try to do it with light armor(with as high magic defense as you can manage) and the most powerful weapon you can wield while still retaining fast roll.

Use Power within, with non-upgraded pyro glove. For weapon at low sl I used a maxed fire Uchi, DWGR ring is a must.. good luck Don't forget crest shield.

Use a fire or chaos weapon, crest shield and what fruit said.

Light armor, check. Crest Shied +5, check. Dodging attacks of one King: check. Dodging attacks of second King: fail. This is seriously impossible. +10 fire claymore does ZERO damage. What type of element works best against them?

My friend use power within...

a fire claymore +10 will do more dmg then most other weapons you could wield. I would keep a dark hand equipped also just in case you have to block that magic attack that you cant dodge. Just try to stay calm and not worry about how much dmg you're doing. Dont even pay attention if another king pops up, just keep focusing on the king in front of you and dodge/attack. I would personally not use Power within,unless you are really confident you can dodge the attacks. You could try going into hyper mode(red tear stone ring), you pretty much get 1shot anyways so its a way to add dmg.

Don't bring a summon, four kings get more HP for summons so unless you're bringing an epic player summoning help will actually make the fight harder.

I took another three tries against the kings yesterday with a couple of low-level players. The best we could do was kill one king.

NG+, at low soul level, against the kings is brutal. I have strong magic defense, Fire Gargoyle+10, Crest Shield+5, and gave up trying to use Power Within. If you use PW and get hit once, you're dead.

When your vitality is only 10, you don't have any room for error. I do have two ascended pyro gloves at +5. I suppose I could try downgrading one of those and try PW again.

Just beat those bastards on NG++ at level 20

I have a lvl 15 at New Londo. You'll be my first summon on my PS3. Not sure how to msg on the Playstation yet, so just post here if you're on. I'll put my sign in the center circle of the first bridge.

You need a non upgraded pyro glove. Upgrading the glove increases the health drain without increasing the buff.

On NG+ and beyond the 4 kings becomes the hardest boss in the game IMO. For me, i found that two handing a falchion is the way to go (since it attacks so fast). In your case i suppose this would involve getting an elemental one (preferably chaos with 10 humanity) and use power within. You just want to put them down as fast as possible. Also, i don't know if this would apply to you since your health is so low, but going right up next to them makes them do hardly any damage, so just pour on the poise and you should be good (watch out for their aoe magic attack though). Finally, summon Beatrice; the damage she does to the kings more than makes up for their slight increase in health.

OK! Shield is usefull but not as usefull as the Greatsword of Artorias (two-hands)! I suggest to use the Logan's Big Hat +5 (High Mgc Res.) and the Great Magic Barrier Miracle, and light burden (as other suggested).

I DID IT!

+5 Lightning Gargoyle Halberd, Child's Mask, black sorcerer's cloak, sorcerer's pants, RoFaP, Crest Shield +5. After about 100 total attempts, Four Kings on NG+ at level 15 (8 vit and 8 end) DONE.

Power Within is a godsend. Can't believe how good it is. It lasted for three of the Kings, and then I popped a stamina grass for the 4th King.



Wow, that is by far the hardest thing I have ever encountered in a video game. Pure ecstasy.
