If I kill Shiva's Ninja?

while I am part of their covenant do I get an egghead/growth thing?

I know that they are the one covenant that has no consequences when leaving etc but I do not want to get this growth..

Is he somewhere behind Shiva in Blightown? Relatively close by?

That's only for Chaos Covenant.

Yeah not saying you weren't. Just your question seemed really mixed up combining different stuff together.

But you should really have a look at the Wiki, the last few questions you asked could be easily answered by looking at the corresponding page there. It's really helpful and a good resource. However not everything is there so the forums are always here to answer stuff.

I just want that ring as I saw some guy (after completing New Londo) flipping about like a ninja when I watched a Youtube video to see if I missed anything.. definitely will come in handy during boss fights in NG +

Yeah It's good.
Just make sure you don't die fighting him. As if you die you will of been kicked out of the covenant and he will no longer be there when you respawn. Then you gotta absolve your sins and come back to have another try.

Kill Shiva too his shield is epic.

Yeah, always check the wiki, or the resources thread for things like these. But if you don't find the answer, of course someone here will point you in the right direction. Killing shiva, it depends. The Shield is great, but he also sells a lot of great items. So I'd buy everything you could want from him first, then kill him. Just mind you after you kill them absolve your sins, because if you don't and talk to Alvina she will be gone until NG+.

Killing Shiva, what shield does he drop? I already have the:

1) Great shield of Astoria +1
2) Stone Shield
3 Havels
4) Crystal Knight Shield
5) Magic Knight Shield +5
6) Crest Shield +3

and then the rest of the normal ones..

I do not need Alvina.. I have finished everything there is in the Gardens/Basin etc.. I just have:

1) Tomb of Giants
2) Demon Ruins
3) Lost Izalith
4) Kiln of the first flame left to do..

Can I kill Alvina? does she drop anything?

Shiva drops the Iron Roundshield, think thats what's it's called, and its awesome. It's a medium shield that can parry, but when a mob attacks it they bounce back and are left open for a counter attack like a greatshield. It's pretty awesome

ok sweet, I Googled it as soon as I read it this morning.. not the greatest resistances though.. It weighs not much though, handy! Could always do a proper +15 upgrade on it maybe.. my GSoA is a bit heavy 16.0 and in equipping it, have to change the whole setup of my character at the moment...
