    PALLLLLLEEEEAAAASSSSSSEEE!!!!!!

It would make melee as a mage type character a bit more doable. Hahah.

So then mages have the best of everything between the mlgs, css, chsm, stealth spells, repair, AND the ability to parry with a talismine? no thanks.

If we gave it a crap magic adjust (>200) and high stat requirements (6/24/24/0) it'd make hybrid builds more doable. The kind of people who don't rely on them, but use them in combat.

It wouldn't stay that way though. The ToB was supposed to do the same thing and it was so broken it wasn't even funny. It would either only be useful because of the parry, or powerful so stupidly useful and break everything. Mlgs in one hand, that talismine in the other. Mage is now a cannon of doom.

meh id just like special animations for magical ripostes, same damage but the mage does something special, also what about a straignt sword or club thats r2 was replaced with spell casting (sorcery not miracles or pyro)
