    What's up Guys,

    I'm thinking about creating a status effects build as demonstrated by the following link: http://mugenmonkey.com/darksouls/?c=3688395017875874

    Here is my issue concerning this build: If you notice I have 18 faith to be able to cast the TWOP in order to successfully drown my opponent with both acid surge and the toxic mist. I'll also buff my large club with the rotten resin so as to inflict my opponent with poison after about two hits. The Gravelord sword will be an alternative option to the large club. My issue, however has to do with the dexterity. As many of you know, 45 dex provides the fastest casting speed of the flame pyromancies. Does anyone know if a higher dex stat will also quicken the acid surge and toxin cast as well? Thanks in advance for all of your input.

    Since you have a large Club, which does poison, would it not be better to try to build up poison with poison mist as well. Of course, you may be planning on building both poison and mist. if not, than switching to gravelord Sword (which does toxic instead of poison) or to poison mist might help with what you intend. Otherwise, it might be that you are aiming to build up both toxic and poison from what I see.

    yes, I have found that most pyromancies, even the Mists, have went faster in terms of casting after my dexterity went up; A build that had 25 dexterity went faster in casting mists and surge compared to those who just use strength (and no dexterity). That is what i have found, and I use to use the mists and acid surge all the time for pyromancy only, and never the regular flame pyromancies.

    I've been told a few times that the surges aren't effected by dex. And in my experience, it's way easier to inflict poison with a bow or knives than surges or even the LC.

    Skip to 1:48. This was pre patch 1.05 but i doubt things have changed.

    :mask-averice: I am going to make a build highly similar to this. I love status ailments in any RPG (USing them that is) and being able to Toxic, Posion, and attacking with a bleed weapon. Then, stacking up on Lloyd's Talis will make it all the easier.

    This build can't throw dung pies, it would get toxic'ed. This is a silly build. One hat can't throw dung pies.

    Throw Dung Pies, eat moss. Moss cures Dung Pie sickness don't cha know? So if you ever accidentally eat a pie made of dung, go outside and lick some moss.
