Lifehunters ARENA SL120 Empty Lifehunters ARENA SL120

Post by WyrmHero Sun May 13, 2012 1:05 pm

Thanks to the great success of FC, I was thinking of doing a different FC with different rules. The Arena is open to members and non-members of the Lifehunters. The rules would be:

    No chain BS.
    No TWoP+WoG spam.
    No healing.
No flaming on the use of 'cheap' tactics.

    Everything else is permitted.

The duels will take place at Painted World arena. For a fast summoning without interruptions you have to lay your sign right after the first shorcut door, on the snow.

The idea of the Arena is that everyone will be welcome to have a outside regular FC duels experience while fighting members from the forum community.

i like the BS rule, just try not to pivot but i like being able to actually BS heavy weapon users lol.

healing with humanity will make fights go on forever. could be interesting.

I forgot to add the most important rule.

No flaming on the use of 'cheap' tactics.

If you think your opponent is being cheap, just find a way to counter him. Hone your skills and you'll find that what you consider cheap, now is just a strategy that you know how to counter. Remember to treat others with respect and bow after each duel.

Damage- you are a ridiculously good fighter.
Fatty- you are more difficult with the new rules lol.

Minor change of rules. No healing unless it's a special hardcore endurance duel night.

what weapons does Damage rock? lol and i knew the unlimited healing would pose a problem, would much make hornets ring a requirement.

He blind parries like a beast. The No healing rule was taken due to general consensus. But healing makes fights longer because of the use of BS.

best way to deal with blind parries is to kick every time you get close. however i suck at kicking and some times attack and then get parried... ask Rant... number 1 rule when fighting Rant is never do a roll attack (unless you have a heavy weapon). and i always start out good, roll kick get an attack.. but then i roll attack parried dead.

i also used to use combustion on blind parries but felt real dirty so i stopped a long time ago, but it does work.

Don't roll attack, don't spam R1, and don't dodge for no reason to do a charged running attack. They're all pretty reliable indicators for players who parry a lot.

people have used that against me and its actually a really good stretegy for blind parries, they never see it coming.

until you fail on the kick and actually attack.. then you smash my face into a jelly

but i dodge all the time for no reason because it's funny. i also like to see what movements cause my opponent to parry. its basically just being as unpredictble as you can and using kick ALOT

I got parried by Damage and always get parried by Reim, distance is also a factor on this for example the roll r1 on my WP has so much reach it can't be parried at times and also parrying angled attacks is a bit more difficult than head on.

I wont throw out more than three or four parry attempts in a match. And I try to keep them spaced out and as random as possible. GC is an awesome counter for parry spammers though, or the obvious circle BS.

yea it is do it 1-2 times and they think twice about trying a blind parry, swings the fight back into a fight and not a parry spam.

the BS is always there but not with FC rules. and i don't run into any parry happy people out side FC.
