    To get the 20% Bonus souls. It has to be done with Meele Attacks only. I tried it with a miracle on a Infected Undead.(PwoA) And was granted the usually amount(482), but when I kill it with a meele attack it gives me the 20% bonus which is 577. Don't know if anyone knew this already just posting this down. Because I am grinding right now.

    This explains why grinding the Phalanx with WoTG was taking longer than just swiping them to death with my Furysword.

    Does the same apply for the Symbol of Avarice?

    I'd imagine yes, but getting a confirmation is always nice.

    Either way, this is a nice find. I hadn't noticed this myself.

    Bummer, apparantly the bonus only affects Meele attacks, Using profectiles won't grant you the bonus. I just tested with my Darkmoon Bow.

    Nevermind Arrows apply the bonus, just not Magic abilites.

    Okay this is what I got so far.


    Yes any magical/projectile do grant the Bonus 20% Soul Boost. But!!! Read this.


    If it is done with a Meele attack you gain 44% bonus souls.*
    Avarice + Ring = 85.11111%


    I tested it with the Phalanx.

    Ring + Zwei = 10080*
    Ring + WotG = 8400
    Avarice + Zwei = 10080*
    Avarice + WotG = 8400
    Avarice + Ring + Zwei = 12960
    Correction on percentages were made.****

    This is the overkill bonus, which is an additional 20%. 'Overkill' occurs when a single hit drains 150% and more of an enemy's total health, which usually happens with backstabs and criticals.

    Example: If an enemy have a total of 200HP you have to inflict 300+HP of damage in one hit, even if you have already worn its healt down. Chaining several hits doesn't count, even if the health bar shows a total damage for the combo.
