    i keep hearing how good it is so i decided when i come back to dks im gonna make a build around it so here is what i came up with. i just got wkc2 and i keep thinking about dks while playing it(damn you dks!) and it doesnt help the the light axe looks just like the greataxe in dks.

    Personally If I were gona do a velka's build (love the wep never done a dedicated build for it) I would make it a low SL use it in conjunction with the MLGS and go 40 int 16 dex 16 str. the dex really doesnt add all that much sadly... (I know its helps alot for casting )

    I'm liking the Velka's, but the split damage really hurts. My build's AR has about 30 less than yours, but I'm averaging 115 or so for a 1H R1.

    i dont really like the mlgs, im sick of greatswords and i wanted to try something new since all my main builds are str based. i have tried everything else but i just love str weapons so much. the thing is that i didnt know where to put the rest points in so i went with dex because it goves it more dmg and i can always switch to a dex weapon if the other guy casts gmb or has high mag res.

    I dig the build. Like any rapier, you wont get a lot of damage out of standard attacks, but thankfully you and Reim can both parry like bosses.

    I'm also thinking about a Velka's rapier build, and I'll probably end up doing something a lot like this.

    You can't buff your Velka's, so why not put your catalyst in your right hand?

    Otherwise, I'm with Damage, I'm digging the build. And DkS was doing the same thing to me when I took my break. No matter how hard you try, it JUST KEEPS PULLING YOU BACK IN! twisted

    the cat on the left hand is because i want to cast magic if i can and keepp attacking, i dont know why but i dont like having my cat/tal in my right hand.

    better to cast and then stab them than cast and then have a sheild IMO, with players if they see a cata and a sheild if they get past the first spell they know you cant retaliate if they strike.
    also: you know your too tired when the phrase "parry like a boss" brings on a fit of terror at a queelag riposte (the boss I was doing at the time)

    HCSM doesn't work properly as a vader a lot of times. If you cast it and you're not within the distance needed for them to fire within about two seconds, they just fire in all directions and waste it. Really hope they fix that when the DLC releases.

    also the mlgs is SO easy to parry like the rest of the greatswords, the only pro i see in it is the rediculous reach.

    if from actually made the DLC they might but im pretty sure they wont.

    Do you know if there's actual reason that happens, or is that the game just farking up?

    the MLGS is easy to parry? Only if your silly enough to spam RB xD In my experience. I tend to roll around a lot and get hits in when they are exposed and then go for a combo once they drop to 40% ish

    the r2 blows imo, so easy to dodge and YES it is easy to parry specially when your opponent rolls r1, i always end up parrying greatswords like that, blind parries ftw.

    If you see a single parry out of your opponent you should for the rest of your battle with them pause randomly for 1/4 second or so before swinging xD its not a perfect counter but it helps.

    i do tha al the time, sometimes you get screwed if they have a parrying dagger or target shield since their parry window is bigger which is why i use the r2 whenever im using a gs and i see them try to parry once.

    If they are running a parry dagger or a target shield I am either terrified. or I start hitting them with ranged attacks till they get impatient and sloppy depending on what build I am on.
    (interesting aside I have only been parried once using a flamberge and have had 2 people message me complaining about difficulty parrying it, seeing as it is my most used weapon I feel like it should have happened more)

    I usually kick when someone spams parry. Pausing between hits can actually screw you if the other player isn't very good at setup parries. You can actually give them the parry because they blew the correct timing and did it late. It's pretty rare though. Only happened to me a couple times.

    flamberg has to be one of the most underrated weapon in the game, i love the moveset and it hits hard PLUS it has bleed! yet another thing that pisses me off about dex weapons. str weapons got nerfed SO bad in dark souls.
