    Killing Gwynevere Empty Killing Gwynevere

    Post by Raikan007 Thu Jun 21, 2012 6:58 am

I have completely completed everything I want to complete in Anor Londo and wanted to know if it is a good idea to kill her for it to become Dark Anor Londo?

    1) I am offline all the time so no invading will happen!
    2) I can still warp there (Anor Londo) but the Firekeeper will become hostile meaning I will have to kill her giving me another Soul for my Estus
    3) All the other demons dissapear leaving and two Knights appear giving 5k souls each, do these drop anything worthwhile?
    4) I can always warp to Anor Londo (even though the bonfire is not lit) and proceed to the Giant Blacksmith pretty much unchallenged, correct?
    5) Will the warp to the Princess Chamber also become unusable then? meaning if I want to farm the new knights I wont be able to use it? please confirm

Are there any other bits of info you can give me?

So the question is, should I or shouldn't I? Does killing her do anything special or worthwhile? I must say, having to skip those damn winged bat demons on the way to the Giant is quite tempting....

    thank you

    1. Yay.

    2. Yup.

    3. Nope.

    4. Yup.

    5. It is still usable, you can use it to farm the knights and it is much closer to the blacksmith as well.

Personally I have killed her several times. And I wouldn't actually do it again unless I needed to. Although I do play online so the invasions are a big factor that I just find annoying, but also the lack of all the other creatures make the area far less interesting.

I would say the main reasons to make it dark whould be to farm the knights(boring), and for PvP which you aren't doing. So I would recomend not to kill her.

How would it make it easier though?

    Light Anor:
Warp to the princess. Run past the Giant Sentinal, quic kill or run past the archer. Then run up and then down to the giant.

    Dark Anor:
Warp to the princess. Run past or kill two knights, most likely kill as otherwise they'll chase. then run up and then down to the giant.

It's like the same either way.

No problem, always happy to help big grin

Although before you go to NG+ even if it's just 5 minutes before you go to the final boss. You may as well kill her to experience the area and see what it's like, so that next time you'll know for yourself what it's like and if maybe next time you'd want to for some reason.

Just explore everything and do everything you want on this playthrough then when you get to NG+ do other things you couldn't do.

You don't have to kill the fire keeper. Make anor dark then home ward bone or warp to anor bonfire, the fire keeper won't be there she waits by the big elevator. You can farm everyone but her if you like.
