parry build

this is my second and improved parry build, it employs deception to conceal the fact your parrying, i used it today in pvp and it works great

shield in right hand
attack and parry with the estoc
switch to rapier for riposte

If someone was holding the shield in the right hand I would know that SOMETHING was up xD

by the time they figure out whats up its too late

With a parry build you are much better off with a shield in the left to parry with. You want to be able to block once on certain weapons before parrying.

I've never blind parried a katana.

when i come up against pvpers shield parrying i immediately alter my play style, that large arm swing and the noise is no good, using my technique if your up close to the opponent and mix in some normal attacks too most players won't even be aware what your doing, at least they don't appear to be
anyway 99 percent of the time I blind parry so a shield is really no use

switched out the heater shield for the lighter east-west shield (the only lighter shields could be mistaken for parrying shields), i also keep a shield available to quickly switch out the estoc if necessary
changed the armors to maximize poise (though I don't wear these myself they look like #@!!%)
added a composite bow (use poison arrows and then large arrows once poisoned)
you could also switch out the hornet ring for rofp allowing for better armors and for max stamina and hp (minus tiny beings ring)
