Questions not answered in the FAQ

I have a couple questions that aren't answered in the FAQ

1) How do you give reputation here and at which point can you start using this feature?

2) What are 'points' and how do you give/get them?

Ok, so it seems that 35 posts and you get to rate messages, is that adding rep or points? Also, how many do you get to rate per day?

You add Rep by rating messages, and points are for posting in the 'useful' forums. I.e. the Dark Souls and Demons souls sections of the forum.

(i think, don't quote me but iv deduced that much)
