40/40 builds

hi all. i was just wondering about your experiences with 40/40 builds. i would like to see some of those builds if you got 'em. i am especially curious about your weapon/ armor choices. thanks again!

The last 5 points will either go to Vit (usually swapping Havel's Ring with RoFaP as well as wearing MoM), End, or Attunement for some Pyromancy. Since the whole point of the build is to be extremely flexible with loadouts, weapons and armor can be pretty much whatever you want them to be, so don't worry too much about having specific setups.

If you're really just looking for personal takes on it though, my personal tweak when I made my 40/40 was to go 50 Vit and 30 End with the RoFaP. It balances out your effective End to be about what most players would have at 40, and gives me a decent amount of extra health

is there a dramatic difference between sl120 and 125 as far as pvp is concerned?

You aren't able to participate in fight club - other than that then there is no difference.

You could say all my builds are 40/40; I love to have max Stamina and a decent-sized bucket of HP. The extra weight limit is appreciated.

Wait...you mean 40 Vitality and 40 Endurance? You realize the "title" 40/40 refers to Strength/Dexterity hybrid builds, as in 40 Strength and 40 Dexterity, right?

I love 40 Strength 40 Dex builds, I love using a lot of different things and I find 40/40 builds to be the most versatile in the game.

Dump some points in attunement and you can use most weapons in the game effectively along with some pyromancy.

There needs to be a fire buff on a weapon for pyromancy SO bad It'd make 40/40 builds that much more awesome. A buff that is almost as good as the faith and magic buffs? for free? Everyone would be making 40/40 build haha! Sadly...

Oh well, I want to make one soon anyway. Being able to use almost every weapon? Yes please.

No thanks, I prefer using things that aren't the most used.

It's because I'm a cool guy, obviously.

Shh...don't let the public know about Power Within. It's the only buff in the game that can be used on spells, elemental weapons, magical weapons, and unique weapons instead of just normal weapons!

Hahaha! I mean a buff that will make your weapon ignite on FIRE! I guess it doesn't need to be there SO bad, but it'd be cool, ya know?

I use Charcoal Pine Resin on my buffable weapons, so I pretty much already have that.

Oh yes, I know it means 40/40 Dex and STR. But I made some emphasis on the HP and Stamina thing since I would just be able to say "I like to hit things harder/cast faster" otherwise.

I know there are quite a few people in FC that use them and they are a lot of fun. They may not out damage some builds, but you have a lot of options for weapons and armor. They are great for testing out new builds as well.

I used this one, it worked quite well as an invader build. It devastated one on one with Power With and the reach of the Giant's Halberd, for facing gankers it also fared well as the aforementioned reach was a lifesaver and chaos storm could always take of them if they were super aggro.

They're great for Specific C str C dex scaling weapons too, such as bastard sword and most straight swords

I always meant to make a 40/40 build, but I never completely fell in love with the idea... Then I decided to make 2 builds that, together, would be the same as a 40/40, but separate they can each be stronger. So I came up with the Jackal and Juggernaut (see sig). The Jackal is the Dex side of the equation, and the Juggernaut is the Str. Together they can use every weapon in the game; separately, they can't, but they're stronger than a 40/40 build (they have more vit and end).

40/40 builds are nice for their simplicity and flexibility, but if you don't mind putting in the extra work I'd recommend making a few builds instead.

^Putting in the extra work. School and one part time job with another job here and there doesn't leave me with much room hahaha! And once summer starts, I'll be working max hours if my ankle lets me. 50 hours a week? Yep.

Bindmind has a thread where people tell him what they want, and he'll make it. There's a pretty big line right now, but you should get your request in before he closes it off haha! If it requires a specific screenshot, since he has such a big line now, he said that you'd have to supply it, and Amos said he'd get you a screenshot in another thread. So you're all good. It'd just take a month.

Until then, I'd recommend easing up on the sun spam haha!
