RIP Dimitri

Earlier in the week I posted how one of my saves was acting up. A rather important one at that. His name...was Dimitri, and tonight he was pronounced Corrupted, He was my second character, legitimate of course. My first dex build. And my best fighter. (Until Samuel came along but that's another story.) I had the most hours on Dimitri, and the most progress.

So Rest in Peace comrade

(To the issue, the system freezes if I try to load him up.)

RIP Dimitri... I lost my first character the same way.

May the Maker call you to his halls Dimitri.

At least, he won't go hollow ever again.

I sacrificed my first character to Dark Souls. Literally. I finished NG+ and then erased it. It was my way of repaying Dark Souls for all the nice moments it allowed me to enjoy.

I did the same with my first two characters.

He was my first PvP char too, I still have hope though, the save might work one day

Hm... I don't understand how a character gets corrupted. it has not happened to me... hopefully never.

@Acidic, I'm not sure if it's corrupted or just bugged, either way it freezes when I try to load.
Usually its corrupted from turning the system off mid save and such. (Which I didn't do)

Never got freezes in dark souls... did for bethesda games, though.

Make sure you don't have TOO many saved files; it might be your issue. It might help you.

That might work, the loading screen isn't freezing anymore but it is stuck loading.

That helped but didn't. I couldn't even make a new char.today Samuel, my second PvP char (and the best setup) had a minor issue, the loading screen just kept going on and on. So I let my system rest and cleaned up my PS3 Save data and it works fine now. Dimitri is still dead, but it might work again if I get lucky.

It's like a computer; space that is taken makes it harder to navigate. That is what I found with computers.
