    Red Enemies Empty Red Enemies

Post by GenGenocide Tue Jun 12, 2012 5:23 pm

I was in the painted world offline and there were red enemies, such as the ones you get from being gravelorded, but like I said I was offline. How does this happen and has anyone else encountered this? My game is not patched. In first play through as this character and my soul lvl was 120.

other people have experienced the same thing, it is beleived that FROM has put it into the game for more of an online experience for those that play offline, same with the invasions of kirk, mildred and king jeremiah. did you see a gravelord sign anywhere?

Try finding a GL sign. And invade trough it. There should be a NPC GL infecting you. But no one has been able to find him yet.

I should try playing offline through the PW sometime, just to find this mystery GL.

^Yeah, I'm thinking the same too. PW isn't much of a threat to me anymore, so I could explore it at my leisure looking for the sign!

This reminds me I still need to make a Gravelord character.

And not one of those "I'll put the GL sign next to the bonfire to get tons of PVP action" Gravelords. A true troll the hell out of you Gravelord who hides his sign in the most out of the way, hard to reach, and dangerous places possible. lol

^That was my first thought when I wanted to create a gravelord. But then the sign follows you around, if I'm not mistaken... So if you want it in a hard-to-reach place, you have to just sit there yourself. Pretty boring, if you ask me!

(Here's one of the spots I was thinking about: In Sen's, kill the Giant that drops the boulders that roll around the fortress. Then drop down the boulder hole, and just stand on top of the... pin-ball launching machine. big grin You might as well go afk at this point, though. And I saw a video on youtube of someone gravelording in the Depths. There were spirits of vengeance everywhere! Looked a lot more fun than sitting in a hard-to-find spot...)

If that's seriously true then it'd be... a little annoying. Tbh if I can get to the hard to reach/dangerous area in the first place to put down the sign then I might as well just stay there. lawl

But can anyone confirm that as true or not?

=.=!! Dude, there are fix Black Phantom spawn that acts just like players in game.. however they are NPC.. it's From Software's way to introduce you to online pvp..

They are not player, just scripted NPC as Black Phantom.. is completely normal

But he said "enemies", plural so it's not that.
I'm interested though if there really exists an NPC Gravelord. It would be hilarious to find the sign and then meet Patches in his world.

But if he exists. Do you think it’s someone new, or that we already know him/her?

If I ever did this, I'd use my new camera to record my screen. It wouldn't be as good as a capture card, but it'd be better than a smart phone, as my new camera is a very spendy one. Graduation present. It's more for still pictures, but it takes awesome 1080p video.

If ANY of you do this, please at least record it with your phone! AT LEAST! big grin

...Wait, technically, Petrus is evil, and technically, gravelording is deliciously evil. So maybe, Petrus is a gravelord in the PW.

Also, in the txt dump, there was an unnamed Gravelord servant mixed in with the boss names (simply saying "GravelordServant). So it could be possible he exists. My friend keeps saying that he gets those black phantom NPC's in the PW, but doesn't search around like he tells me he plans to every single time he goes there. Hes on the unpatched version though, so it obviously was intended to be there. The main place I think the GL would be is at the top of those really long stairs.

Yeah, but when you go back human and I think if you reload or re-enter PW, they come back.

Also, nice camera you got there, to bad you couldn't buy yourself a trident -does trident dance-

I didn't by the camera! My parents bought it for me :3 They also bought my capture card that doesn't work with laptops... and it requires USB 3.0. I have a friend who has the right equipment, but he doesn't feel like trying to get it to work. I still want Amos to buy it from me... or someone haha! Idk. Maybe I'll figure out how to use it myself at my friends' house.

Is this an indefinite thing? If you create a new account on your playstation, stay offline, then go to the painted world, you'll get invaded? This would require a new character, but *shrug* sounds like fun big grin

Judging by the first post, Im guessing you can go offline whenever and have a chance of Phantoms showing up. I havent had time to test it, but my friend says it normally happens at least twice whenever he goes to the painted world.
