SL 80 Gladiator; for MEN

Hey guys, BindMind again.

Ever since I started playing Dark Souls, I've always wanted to make a really macho character. A shirtless buff dude that rips apart everyone with his superior melee prowess. Later on into my first playthrough, I thought that this would be almost impossible without doing ninja flips (which isn't macho at all).

But today, with the knowledge I have gained over the months, I've FINALLY decided to make the build I've always dreamed of.

I present to you my SL 80 Gladiator.

With manly dive-rolling, the weapons of a respectable gladiator, and the poise of a rhinoceros, this shirtless wonder is ready for anything.

(if anyone has suggestions for improvement, I'm all ears. I'd really like to hear some criticism.)

The skirt looks a bit ***. I suggest the Balder Leggings for real macho briefs.

The gladiator is not a woman, and cares not for fashion.

Also, the balder leggings and don't match the gold giant's stuff :face: It's too heavy anyways.

I actually like the soldier's waistcloth in this set. It fits.

I agree with Wyrm, that waistcloth makes you look like a homeless ballerina. Not macho.

Then again, most Gladiators were just slaves who fought to the death for the enjoyment of corrupt emperors, so that waistcloth might actually be fitting.

On a giant toon with giant's stuff it looks fine.

You missed my gladiator covenant a couple of months back bro - it never was able to get off of the ground due to only 3 PSN Members and then 5 XBL ones xD It was hard to arrange events etc;

What if we remade it, and a certain someone had the ability to livestream gladiator matches...? =3

I seem to remember with the covenant we set it so there weren't elemental weapons used Maybe we could gauge more interest by allowing Ele Weaps? and yeah - I may re-make the covenant

That would definitely help. The gladiator-esque weapon set is limited as it is, and finding weapons that scale well is a pain in the gooch.

Then again, creating a toon dedicated to the covenant's gladiator matches would also make it viable...

Allow elemental weapons and more people will join. Simple as that XD

I think the gladiators should have less poise! it'd be more entertaining and would open up more weapon choices. Also you need the ref/host to dress up as an emperor and watch from that crossbow hollow spot. And each time you must to the host!

I just watched a video that was called Siegmeyer VS the Knight of Solaire. It was held in Sen's fortress in the area on top of the front gate. Where the Giant pulls the chains.

That would be a badass and unique spot to hold the matches. I'd make a special "Cesar" character and have him never go to Anor Londo, just to hold these fights in that location.

I need 14 strength to hold the shield.

I also put 2 points into attunement on purpose, just to get Power Within.

Not to mention the class "warrior" is much mroe fitting

Where do you think FC is held?

I never checked the fight club thread, because I'm an Xbox player.

That's pretty cool it really is a great spot.

That and the blight town arena are the go to FC spots.

Also I reckon hosting PW arena would be cool aswell. perhaps depths aswell to signify the lower life pits.

Arenas were wide, open, and dusty as hell.

PW is kind of neat I suppose, but it's a bit bland... And depths/blighttown don't really make sense.

Sen's fortress really is the closest thing I can think of off the top of my head... But I'll keep thinking

Or the upper burg arena. You even have a spot for the host to overlook them.

Depths - the bit after giant rat trust me xD There were fighting pits underneath the city :L

I'm pretty sure underground arena is where they practiced. So it sorta makes sense, but if you're gonna have a show for Cesar, you need to be out in a grand arena.

Sen's is probably my favourite place personally. Cesar could be summoned as a white phantom, the recorder would be the host, and the combatants would be summoned as black phantoms.

That would make the most badass livestream ever (if you had enough gladiators)

More user covs are always a good idea. Also Amos you would be the only one with as many xbl players as PSN let alone more.
