So we impliment it now and hope the idea draws recruits.

No one will want to work for the weapon/armor they want because they can ignore our group entirely, pvp at sl 80 in the pw, and still use whatever they want.

the rank suggestion wouldn't be a test, it would be a contest, promoting friendly rivalry and skill.

I wouldn't join LH with those rules. Then again they're unenforceable anyways.

On top of that the headgear being the symbol of rank 5 would make identifying the current ranke 5 members easy. Especially if we stick to the currently option uniforms, maybe cutting out 1 in each poise range so they total 4, not 8.

Yeah the rank 5 headgear stays. If I'm gonna implement armors by rank they can be mix matched and will be same as weapons so once they are rank 5 they can choose all armors + the nice headgear (I love the Xanthous Crown more than ever now). That's why I need time because I have to consider poise and weight values so that each rank is just a mere difference of looks and not efficiency (in terms of poise, defense could be lower for lower ranks, but poise/weight should be equal for versatility of builds).

Uniforms are a cool idea instead of this weapons baloney. I think you guys should be recognizable.

Thats why I say we scrap armor by rank unless its full sets and weapons entirely. You can ban the LH scythe untill rank 4 of 5, even outright ban some weapons, but general rank requirements for weapons are far to restricting. Its overly complex and completely unnecessary.

We already have balanced and reasonably efficient uniforms. You want to be recognisable stick to the uniforms or no one will ever recognise us. They have very little impact on versatility as well, because there is one to allow most any build to function with each weight.

I know it is, that's why I need time to think about it and test builds. If it gets way too difficult or even boring it gets scratched.

Wyrm your idea is cool in concept but I believe it will be much less so in practice. I think Forum sees the truth of it and has since the beginning. Having banned weapon, uniforms, and headgear to show those of top rank seems a decent compromise.

get our rules set first imo, then try recruiting at the wikidot, then war.

If its overly complex, restricting and unnecessary, why are you trying it?

We're waiting on Dx's diplomacy mission to finish before we advertise on wikidot.

Depends on if we can link directly or have to start up seperately.

Quite possibly. I'd recruit at the wikidot, informing them that the covenant is run here, so here is where they need to be to sign on.

I'd possibly just copy the basics from the OP and post it there, with a link to here. Check it and respond to questions periodically, but I wouldn't try it before the rules are set.

You could even get us involved in the tournaments they have however often to promote ourselves.

While you're thinking over things, think about the heavy resistant to the idea you've encountered.

I don't like the idea of having non forum members, they usually go inactive fast. Forum is addictive....

^I know what you mean. I have had all 4 of my wiki members go inactive.

@Forum we dont know if we're allowed to post links and advertise yet.

Again, be very clear its run here, and being a member here is required, and being active either here or in the chat is also required.
