What to do with spare souls?

First topic, hope it's not senseless.

So my problem is as follows:
My newest toon is a starter level thief, only using upgraded starter gear. Four days ago I joined the forest hunters, just after defeating O&S which was hell of fun, and now I'm just PvP'ing in the forest before continuing my run.
Now I actually wanted to fight Ceaseless discharge but I'm sure I'll die multiple times and lose my souls and humanity in the process. But I hate it to let my souls go to waste and always spend them on my other toons for leveling or twinkling titanite. This toon obviously needs neither of those.

Do you have any idea what I could use my souls for?
Or generally: what do you do when you know you can't keep your souls?

Stock up on supplies (arrows, prism stones, moss, dung pies, etc).

If you're upgrading your starting gear, grab titanite Shards and Large titanite Shards. XD

My gear is +9/+14 and my knife is +15, so upgrades aren't needed anymore. I always stock up my supplies, but yesterday I had 730k souls and all my things I use 99x. Now that I think of it I could've filled my BB ^^
I ended up buying twinkling titanite to give away lots of it to nice forest intruders

If you already have 99x of everything you use, you could try buying 99x of things you don't normally use and try them out. On a side note, once you run out of things to buy, you don't need souls any more so don't worry too much about dying against ceaseless discharge because you don't really seem to need the souls and you can always get more

What to do with spare souls?

Go to the expensive merchants, and stockpile on these:

'Cracked Eye Orbs'
'Purging Stones'
'Black Firebombs'
'Green Blossoms'
'Blooming Purple Moss'
'All Shards of Large and Small (not green, go kill some leeches)'
'Upgrade all Pyro-Flames'
'Buy all Spells'

A good, expensive list. hope it helps.

Buy a bow, arrows and shoot Ceaseless Discharge to death by standing at the back of the passage you can run down. If you're in the right place you should just be able to see a tentacle waving about which is the thing to aim for. Cheap but effective.

Thanks for the suggestions, should come in handy. But I will defeat Ceaseless with my knife, a bow is not even under consideration.

Dont upgrade all pyro flames, keep one at non upgraded if you have multiple.
and ceaseless was funny after fighting him with 10 vit on NG+ fighting NG with 30 vit was easy

Actually I don't even have a flame, either gave it away to someone or I haven't freed Laurentius yet XD
Anyways, do you have any kind of low level Fight Club on the forum, cause I love making butt-naked fist fights with low vit, because they actually last the exact amount of time I want a dual to be ^^.

Can't you buy Dung Piles and sell them to Frampt later for the same amount? I think that's the only way through which you can make a "bank" of souls.

Most of my characters are finished around level 50 so I can never really join in on forum events...

If you have 99 of everything and have everything completely upgraded you don't need souls. Humanity is still useful, but meh.

Extra souls? Try lending them to politicians......drum roll please.

On a serious note once you've bought everything they're meaningless to you so I wouldn't sweat it. If you're really worried about dying to Ceaseless though I recommend walking into the fog, waiting for an hour or more without doing anything (this is a great time to do something else like get dinner or go see a movie) and quit/reload. If you spawn inside the fog then grab the Gold Hemmed set, walk back to the fog gate and enjoy........

I thought more about starter level up to 10 or so, but if you'll love it you can start it yourself can't you?

It's a cool idea, but overall you can only save 2*99*500=99000 souls, not very much indeed.

I think I'm really going to just forget about those souls, you're right, I don't really need them.

It would be nice if you could make Soul items (i.e. Soul of a great hero) from the souls you currently have.

Would be awesome really, making 99 souls of the great lord

Stock up on supplies It's what I do now a days being a 177 when
it takes 300,000 souls to level up +__+ Why not just go to all
the merchants and buy everything.. (Rings, Arrows, Bombs, Armour. Mosses/ect)

What will happen? Instead of attacking he will beg for death
