The Sweep !

Sorry if someone already posted this but what do you think is the "sweep
attack" from the DLC trailer...you know, the red phantom with the Fat
officer top hat

Could it be the "new DWGR" thing, or some other item/weapon that gives you a sweep attack instead of a Kick ?

Opinions ?

It's probably just an enemy-specific attack, similar to the Hollow Thieves' throat-slitting riposte.

I've not heard of any "new DWGR" thing though, care to elaborate? The only thing that would make me happier than changes to the DWGR would be having Elite Cleric Armor

I thought maybe they changed the DWGR somehow, since it gives you ninja flips maybe it will also give a sweep attack...probably not but who knows

I'm actually hoping that they change the DWGR since it's the most talked item in the game.

When I saw the topic title the first thing I thought was; BED OF CHAOS. lol.

Since the attack is being performed by a phantom I think its something we will be able to do. The phantoms are basically the same as player characters with AI control and unless I'm forgetting something, everything they can do we can do.

So its either the fwd + R1 attack of the weapon he is using or something granted by a piece of gear.

I think it's the new kick when you use a crossbow. I think crossbows will become a bit more liable, with other moves along with it. Not just a kick

This is also what I think. It definitely looked like it could be something similar to the back flip with curved swords and assuming it was the V for Vendetta crossbow guy, then it would make sense that it was a kick attack on a crossbow (though I'm not even entirely sure how a sweep kick would be all that more useful that just a regular kick...)

Longer range? Shorter animation? Cooler looking?

Or maybe it trips them XD

Sweep attack has style, that's its usefulness
