The most frustrating experience would be one of my quests for defeating the Bed Of Chaos in NG+ (a couple of months ago)
Just as I had passed through the shortcut (the titanite Demon bridge), I got invaded.
And since I didn't want to get caught up fighting both the demon and the invader, I decided to stay put and wait for the invader to come to my location. Took him about 15min to find me, and when he did he was levitating/teleporting around (lagging like crazy), so I just had to swing randomly in the air since I had no idea where he actually was on the screen. took me about 10min to kill him.
After that I continued my quest and tried to run straight past the titanite Demon, who managed to hit me and knock me of the bridge (first and only time that has happened to me).
After this I collected my bloodstain and rushed straight to the Bed Of Chaos, made quick work of the left side and started running towards the right side. Obviously enough I wasn't paying attention and got swiped down a crack in the floor.
Once again I rushed straight back, collected my bloodstain, just as I did that i got caught in a "swipe combo" and died.
Rushed back, collected my bloodstain, managed to make it to the right side and destroyed that as well, started to run towards the middle, got swiped down a crack and died.
Rushed back, collected my bloodstain (that was ofc at the right side where I destroyed that thingy), got swiped down a crack yet again.
Rushed back, repeated that exact same thing as last time (happened a total of 4 or 5 times in a row).
Rushed back, collected the bloodstain and managed to get in front of the Bed Of Chaos without getting swiped down, but before I had the time to jump down on the root I got swipe combo'd.
Rushed back, collected the bloodstain, ran and jumped onto the root, but overdid the landing and rolled off into the abyss.
Rushed back, collected the bloodstain, jumped towards the root but got hit mid-air and fell into the abyss, after which I quickly hit the power button on my PS3 and went out for a smoke.
(came back 20min later and got it easily done on my first try).
The conclusion I came to: The Bed Of Chaos can go **** himself!!!
Btw. Is it just me or is the Bed Of Chaos extremely similar to the Dragon God in Demon's souls?
The whole concept of how the battle works out is pretty much the same.

Sounds very similar to a few of my B.o.C. battles as well...extremely frustrating!
I think for me the most frightening thing is trying to retrieve a valuable bloodstain in either Crystal Cave or Great Hollow. Most frustrating?...FAILING to retrieve said bloodstain!!!

Well, many, but as a Demon Souls vet, Dark Souls (a good game) still feels a bit more unfair and cheap than DS. I never blamed the game for a death in DS, but in Dark Souls, yes the game cheats here and there. There is more luck involved and less skill. Still a great game, but feels a bit more rushed compared to DS.
An empty Ash Lake, Lost Izalith was uninspiring too. So many empty places. Too bad, but the game has strong points too. I would give Dark Souls a solid 8/10 and DS a 9/10. But that is just my opinion.

In dark souls they made it easier by having bonfires as check points in stages. While in Demon souls you have to start over when you die just my opinionTheBigLebowski wrote:Well, many, but as a Demon Souls vet, Dark Souls (a good game) still feels a bit more unfair and cheap than DS. Yeah, I hope they will go back to a central nexus kind of thingy in the new Dark/Demon Souls game. With more worlds than in DS ofcourse.

Personally I find the painting guardians very easy to kill. While in long distance they can be quite troublesome. But many enemies are mostly in mobs. Just the goons. 8)RantFromRant wrote:getting past those damn painting guardians on top of the PW painting, every time i start a new, the first time i die is becaseu of them, no matter what i do i always end up dying at least once.

I hope so. It will make it more challenging. I wonder why in demon souls there are few stages The worlds not connected as in dark souls.TheBigLebowski wrote:SlayerOfThe4Kings wrote:In dark souls they made it easier by having bonfires as check points in stages. While in Demon souls you have to start over when you die just my opinionTheBigLebowski wrote:Well, many, but as a Demon Souls vet, Dark Souls (a good game) still feels a bit more unfair and cheap than DS. The most frustrating for me, by far, is the path to get to the four kings. Those wyverns are incredibly annoying. I can quickly dodge the three by the door, but the first two are a PAIN. I debated going the other way, but it still seems longer...

What I usually do is jus take down the first two with my SoA or BGa. After that I make a run through the others and into the gate. Usually some would follow but they would go back eventually 8)GreatWolfSif wrote:The most frustrating for me, by far, is the path to get to the four kings. Those wyverns are incredibly annoying. Losing 3 million souls and 99 humanity in Kiln of the First Flame. I died invading, and while going through the giant stairs from the Firelink Altar, I fell sleep (I closed slowly my eyes) and my thumb started to push to the left, I fell of the stairs, and died.
Always sleep a bit before playing Dark Souls

Yeah I bet That got you mad.     . Yes a little sleep would be helpful haha It's to bad that the game won't let us keep our humanity. At least have a safe soul deposit box in the bonfireChizFreak wrote:Losing 3 million souls and 99 humanity in Kiln of the First Flame.
