    Ok. So in Pirate's thread talking about how the masks are not really overpowered. Every other helm is underpowered. And i agree. So, let's buff the other helmets.

    What if you could disassemble the mask, and it would give you an item. One gem. You can use this gem on one piece of equipment.or, better yet, to make sure no BB glitchers grab 99 of these, it would give you 99 of these gems and it takes 99 to put the effect on the equipment.

    There are many different ways this could be incoorperated, so lets just brain storm. Do you agree with me? If so, how would you make the system? Helmets only? Cloth has bigger effects? Can only be put on helmets or all armor? Ring effects too?

    If you disagree with me, why?

    I think tailoring it to counteract the BB glitch is unnecessary. Obviously ideas like these won't be implemented into dark souls, and if they were put into the next souls game I'm sure From wouldn't have any sort of BB glitch in the next game.

    On the general topic, I would actually stray to say that masks are overpowered. There should rather be some negative effect for wearing them, I don't know what that would be.

    And rather than having gems, because that seems a little strange to break down items in a soul game to get stuff out of them, I would rather a various amount of helms having their own bonuses, more things like the dusk crown, like slight miracle boost for the priest hat, or other things like that.

    reminds me of diablo.... with the whole socket system. as for anti bb glitch percausions make there be stat or progress caps for use of the augments (super poison res etc requires 20 res, stamina regen boost requires 30 end as does equip burden boosts (to high to grief effectively) 30 vit to add health modifiers?)

    reading buggy's post now and yeah that does fit dks lore better regular helms could be given more poise, poiseless helms get a minor effect based on their defensive properties (low defense = good effect) so the blk sorceror hat could extend the duration of stealth spells by 50% and the pyro helm could increase the strength of the self buffing pyromancies by like 5-10% etc...

    Masks are now 5 pts heavier would help. and as for the 99 thing that would not stop BB glitchers in the slightest *gets into mindset* I unpatch, dupe souls go to 700 finish till kiln, buy 99 masks. bb glitch them onto my new characters.

    i agree with buggy, the masks should be like the dusk crown, with mom you would trade more vit for less stamina, moc gives you more stamina but takes a little from your vit and the mask of father gives you more equip weight but takes away from your pshys attack res. the jewel thing would be a bad i dea since it opens up more ways of making certain armors op.

    I was thinking that it doesnt really go into a slot, as it was needed to upgrade it past the +10. Which would mean youd have to use your slab and no special armors could have it. And once you did it, it was called wanderer hood of the mother, or tattered cloth of dusk. Or whatever. Haha! A unique name, but not upgradable anymore.
    And i think the downside for having it could be cool. The slower stam regen for faster or more casts. The greater health for less total stam. Faster stam regen, but heavier helm, and less phys def with higher weight carrying. But, i think that would only work with the specific masks.

    And i dislike the skyrim enchanting system. It requires actual level stats to do so. Which isnt really a souls kinda thing.
