    I've dealt and have been hit by dead angles before, but it seems theres a way to get a guranteed dead angle with a curved greatsword. I've seen this done in videos before and this is how it looks like its done

    -hold your curved greatsword in 2 hands (i don't know if this matters or not)
    -face your opponent and break lock from him/her
    -use R1/RT attack and move the analog opposite to where your character is facing, you'll do a 180 turn and hit your opponent.

    i've never done this, but the forest invader did these steps exactly (and intentionally) after swinging away at my shield a couple times, he stopped.. then proceeded with the dead angle and dealt the final blow through my shield =/

    Has anyone done this before? Or has this ever happend to you? Also, correct me if i'm wrong about this being a guranteed dead angle

    Curved Greatswords, Greatswords, Ultra Greatswords, Scythes and Greataxes are all great for dead angles.


    It works off of a bug in the coding. There are ways to make them happen nearly every time and it can be done with any weapon, these just work the best.

    No sarcasm intended?

    But I think its not as much of a bug as it is a flaw From Software didn't expect to be abused. Its basically because the curved GSs have a hitbox that starts from behind your character, and sheilds block attacks that come from the front of the character. So since the hitbox reaches the target tht's behind you, and the attack is supposedly going towards his front (which should normally happen when you're attacking from behind), it won't block.

    Any hit scored while not facing an enemy can dead angle. So theoretically any weapon can and will dead angle if the circumstances are right. EWGF has a video about them if you want to know more.

    wha j said, look it up on youtube, theres a bunch of videos showing you how to exploit dead angles, its rediculous how FROM *** up that bad or maybe they did it on purpose but since they never confirm **** i guess we have to put up with it.

    Find me a game that does blocking properly. Then from those, find me one that does it better than Souls.

    in terms of blocking it does it better and im pretty sure dark souls copied some stuff from monster hunter which btw its the hardest game ive ever played, demon's and dark are not that hard compared to monster hunter, i still have problems beating the monster hunter mission, holy crap it pisses me off every time i think about it, dont even get me started about tiggy and diablos. *shakes fist*

    The whole Monster Hunter series just feels so...... hollow.

    damn, really? i have 1,500 hours in unite alone and 600 in demon's and dark souls combined. monster hunter has infinite replay value, theres so many ways of playing it its rediculous, it has a very steep learning curve, thats why its only sold well in japan, theyre so *** hardcore, more like sadistic actually.

    I tried Phantasy Star 2, which basically follows the same format, unless I'm very mistaken. Got bored pretty soon. I just like From Software's games for its depth in PvP, thats all.

    phantasy star is not like monster hunter, maybe the layout of the maps. MH has so much depth, specially with the armor and attributes you get from them, it sucks that people get put off by the learning curve, its such a good game and the only reason im getting a vita.

    I'm more of a duelist than a pack-hunter. I think that prettu much sums up my style and reason to like Souls and have no interest in MH.
