my new build Empty my new build

Im going to a new build. This is going to be either a DW or a GL, im not sure yet. I will be using the dragon body on this. I have two catalysts so that i can decide whether i want to preserve my spells or deal a lot of damage. The rapier is mostly for when/if i run out of spells and the shield is for when i feel like learning how to parry. Im going to try a new trick i thought of, cast HCSM and then roar, if it works then it should deal a lot of damage twisted.

    Thoughts? Comments?

Will have to go to NG+ but it seems interesting - btw have you seen what HCSM does when you roar with it on xD - goes so far around you, it completely confuses the enemies.

Going to NG+ won’t be a problem, all my sl 80s are in NG+ anyway.
I don’t know what HCSM does when you roar. I have never used the dragon body with spells before.

Does dragon roar affects magic damage as well?

It should affect all damage. At least to my knowledge.

I just decided to not use the FaP ring. The extra health won’t save me, i don’t need the equip burden and stamina wont be my biggest problem with this build.

Just be aware that having both catalysts out will halve your spells regardless of which one you use. It's the same for any type of spells, too. If you have TCC out at the same time as another catalyst, talisman, or pyro flame, all your spells will be halved. So I would place both Logan's and TCC in your offhand, that way you'll only ever have one out at a time.

As for parry practice: you can swap one of the catalysts out for the shield from the menu, when you feel like giving it a try.

Thanks for the info Blaine. I will probably just take out the catalysts when i cast spells, i will have the rapier/shield out most of the time.

You can organize itens to put your shield right next to your catalyst in the inventory list
