So, I was invading in the Forest as a hunter on my new Bow/Int build. So, I invade a hosts world, average full giants. BKGA Mask of the Mother and Grass crest shield user. Nothing really all that special, But! He was randomly swinging at nothing. Now I assume this was the, nonexistent phantom glitch (I get it a lot)
I then decided to just poke him with my bow, completely normal +5 magic composite bow with 30 Int. I do a modest 54 damage to him as he flails about.
Now heres where something odd happened. I draw my bow back, fire, and deal exactly 254 damage. Thats a massive increase, and not only was this a fluke, it happened twice. Both exactly 254 damage. That just seems too good to be simply the other invader I couldn't see damage.
So, I'm wondering if there is some aspect to bows and maybe counter attacks I don't know about. Maybe bows have a very high counter attack rating? Or maybe I'm just wrong?
This needs more testing, I sadly don't have the means to.
