Looking for a consultation...

Alright, so I have one character so far and I'm in my first playthrough. I have read a lot of stuff on the wiki and I have also experimented on my own and I would appreciate any critique on my current status and where I should go from here. So I'll give my stats and equipment.

Lvl - 85 Pyro

• Vit - 18

• Fai - 9
  

I know that I've put wasted points into Res and maybe Str and Int.

My equipment is usually: the Gold-Hemmed set, an Iaito +15, Pyro Glove fully ascended, Grass Crest Shield (although shield choice does differ with situations), Long Bow, Wolf Ring and as of late Havel's Ring. I have had to switch to heavier armor because late in the game there are some heavy hitters and the Gold-Hemmed is not cutting it. So I've been using Silver Knight's Armor which I don't love.

So I to sum up I would appreciate advice on a decent med armor with good poise and still fairly quick, another decent RH weapon and maybe where my stats could go from here. Sorry for the long post. Thanks!

Have you tried the chaos blade or quelaag's furysword? also at 23 STR getting something like and elemental zweihander (2H) wouldn't be a bad idea

I would say you need more vit, 18 is not really enough

get your dex to 40, vit and end to 40 and rest you can just put into whatever you want.

Good medium armours.. Paladin set, elite knight set, Catarina set.. though i find it's best mix medium with heavy armour such as black iron or Havel's.

for your first time its not that bad, youre first build should be your all around build so that you can try all the weapons in the game and see what you works for you then if you want you can start making a pvp build that you like. for now id say just bring your vit up. and try not to go over 40 on all the stats.

Thanks, the advice has been most helpful. I think I will go with a lightning zweihander or some such 2H elemental. I have the Furysword but I didn't want to double up on the fire damage and the humanity scaling is kind of a pain.

15 intelligence is the perfect number for that stat, imo, so I don't think those points were wasted. At 15 int you've enabled Hidden Body, Repair, and the Fall spell, and I use each of those in at least one spot in each playthrough.

almost got the stats for a murakumo build, need 28 str to one hand though, its slightly weaker cousin the server only requires 24 str and scales a b in dex at like =10 or so, also has an hp drain effect (really small though.)

I never thought of the spells I could use with 15 intelligence, thanks. Ilk check out the server as well as the zweihander and perhaps the bastard sword as well.
