Well, that is why we are looking for the hardcore, not the core. The core, being those who prefer to fight with an easy route. The hardcore who prefer to fight for the better route, the fun route. lol

And besides, the builds that are shown are refrence for what you can have; Their are many halbreds/spears and armour combinations you can choose for the Burden's Strife, and many Swords and Armour to choose from for the Ranged Folly. As well, the amount of combinations in spells also allows it as well for all three classes.

Look man I respect your covenant idea but the way you are putting players into categories isn't cool. We are not so black and white, not so easy to classify. Staying within the restrictions of the Noble Knights isn't always easy and I do; yet your classes even turn me off slightly. Your way isn't the only way to have fun while playing Dark Souls. Now perhaps this was just poor phrasing on your part but I'm just letting you know it rubbed me the wrong way and it may have done so to others as well. I'm not trying to start a fight but I felt I needed to say something.

    Ugh, you fool.

One, I never said any of the covenants here were bad. Second, their is a class of players out there, and you should not say that everyone playing is the same. Third, I never said my way was only only one was fun, and the covenant is meant and designed to create a group of people that will revamp dark souls in creating an enemy that, in a level, is uniformed and designed to remove the stationary setting of normal NPCs with a similar stance as the Director of Dark Souls intended for the Black Knights, in which they show randomly.

Fourth, the covenant is meant to abuse the player, but not with the hardest of equipment; people do that anyways. Instead, they are meant to pester and come at a full circle, acting as a block for players to go threw. Fifth, the covenant is new, and the classes shown are the only ones that I came up with and I was fine with. The other designs were flawed in what the covenant represent, in which put the player too much in either dependence it independence. And Sixth, this covenant is not easy. It is indeed hard. However, it is designed similar to the thread Toxic Fun Time, in which is suppose to put the hard and challenge into a fun experience. Sure, people see easy as fun... But not all.

Dark Souls is a game more on skill than equipment, and the covenant is suppose to represent that. The packs are designed to target, infect, and to challenge players with skilled yet somewhat handicapped enemies. Aimed against all forms of players.

I hope this explains my misphrasing.

You know this would have been a great response if not for you calling me a fool. I was not attacking you or your covenant, I was simply expressing that what you said rubbed me wrong. You did not need to bring insults in to this. I do not seek an argument but I will at least say: One I never said you did, that was just an example. Two I did not say that I said quite the opposite that all players are different and cannot be classified in such black and white terms. Three Fair enough you got me there. Four An interesting goal and one which I can respect but the equipment will turn some players off which is probably a good thing given your goals. Five Fair enough once again I will take your word on it. Six I will not argue about the point of your cov thats up to you. As for your statement towards the end I could not agree more; fun is perspective which contradicts your previous post.

I really dislike arguments but if you force the matter I will respond.

what if the truly burdened wished to use just Cestus? this sounds (to a degree) like my "brotherhood" idea

This covenant is not made to burden players in the covenant, but targets. Burden's Strife is a reference against the burdened. The covenant handicaps player with a uniform, not the worse equipment. The uniforms are good, and neither awful nor great. We want to bring misery to targets and leave a challenge... Not to destroy or to be harvest easily.

Oh well I thought we had to use the equipment you showed in the builds. Maybe you should explain better?

Shows on the list, above the builds. Read the title that shows the soul builds, their reference ideals being their for people to see for an example. Different stuff in list is seen on top of links, in red

So who is part of the covenant? DoughGuy, Federally, and Viral, is that it?

Asked some people to check out the covenant in Lordran. They were interested, and would like to check it. Be adding more content soon

Yeah I'll be making a build for it. Though I'm still not clear on how flexible you are on equipment

Well, I am making a class for Hammer Users, and One for Curved/Katanas. The classes are the uniform, but you can upgrade the armour and weapons however you please, as well as the stats. however, you are restrained to the use of equipment that it says you can use, in which it says in the red list of every class. There is still flexibility for most classes in what weapon and spells you use, however you can only use the ones listed.

Two more classes to post, and then that will probably be it for classes. No need for overly miracle or sorcery users, because the classes are meant to be warriors with some faith (for misery) and pyromancy (not the same as the others). Will finish the two, and post them soon.

The Burden's Strife has a Pike, Viral. Hope that helps with something.

I was thinking of adding a rapier, but that is too much of a knight quality, which is not what the covenant is. Still, the curved/katana class will have an Uchigatana, Shotel, and Painted. The Hammer will have Reinforced, Pick Axe, and Crescent Axe. The builds will be done soon, just take about 30 or so, maybe more if I don't like how it is turning. We shall see.

Uchigatana, due to it's availability being a little better, the moveset (Thrust attack is a little more versatile), the length being exceptional, and the match towards similar qualities as the other parts of the uniform of the character class. Thinking of replacing shotels with something else, thou.

Transient; A person who is working in an area for a short period of time. Fits with hoe the covenant attacks at random destinations, not stationed at am area permenatly, rather impermentaly.

The other implies also end and death, which is half wrong; we want to bring continuous death, blight, and strife. The work in an area is short, but the work never ends for that area; it can continue as much as it is needed. The nomadic capabilities of the different packs would allow short stats in an area, yet as much work as the pack needs. The covenant is not their to end anything, rather end.

It is part of covenant discussion, it's fine
