Priscilla's dagger vs Iaito(resolved)

Does anyone know when priscilla's dagger +5 gets stronger than iaito +15 if ever? My dex is around 30.

Range, damage, coolness, and moveset are better on the Iaito.

The closest they ever get in AR is actually at the base dex to use them (20). After that, the Iaito starts growing faster then Priscilla's Dagger.

I have them both maxed out I was just shocked at how bad the scaling for the dagger seemed even though its ranked s. I guess I'll stick with iaito then

I've used the dagger more successfully than any of the katanas. Attack speed is better on the dagger and you can do an insane number of attacks without killing your stamina. The r1 and r2 attacks blend together well and the r2 actually has a very wide arc to attack in. I smacked around some forest campers because they let me around to their side and I was able to get several attacks in before they could react. Then when they did I had plenty of stamina to block their full attack and then flip away. The damage looks like it's a joke even at +5 but it's deceiving. Kinda like Avelyn. Sure each hit isn't exactly a KO but 3 or 4 attacks and suddenly the victim is wondering what's cutting them up. Also, I would need more testing to confirm this works across the board, there seems to be something to occult weapons in PvP. I did initial moveset experiments on hollow soldiers then took it to the forest. The weapon did just as much on most players or more damage than it did to the hollows. Even on flipping tanks the damage was on par with the crappy armored hollows.

Hmmm very interesting there are a great many things about the dagger that I like better even if it is weaker, 500 bleed is nice especially with the quick attack speed. And what does the occult do exactly?

I don't know if it's confirmed for PvP use but it gives a damage bonus against "divine" or "godly" beings and their servants I think. Like I said, I was doing about 100 against undead soldiers on the Drake/Sunlight Altar Bridge. Against the strongest armor in PvP and guys way higher level than those soldiers would represent ,the lowest damage output I saw was in the 70s. So despite crazy high defense the damage reduction was only 30 points. On campers wearing medium or lighter armor the damage went up a good deal and often broke the damage I saw on the hollows. I could be off on the exact numbers since it's been a while but I expected a big drop off in damage. For example I usually use the Great Scythe +15. A riposte on the same hollows does over 1100 damage. On a player character it's nowhere near that range even if I buff. The theory is that the lack of drop off is a bonus from the occult stat.

One word of warning, the bleed is devastating when it triggers but it's very tough to make it do so. I've utterly engulfed a person in PvP with hit after hit and still killed them before the bleed triggered.

I feel like the dagger fits my build better but I'm open to any last suggestions before i close the thread.
