    Wouldn't that have been cool? It wouldn't really count as a spell, more of a skill, but it would take a spell slot anyway and have limited uses.

    That would be nice. Make a few, call them skills and make the stat needed to cast them res.

    Or they could extend the game's combo system.

    how bout the catalyst forms an energy/soul blade, of a different type depending on the catalyst, the regular sorceror catylst would make a battle axe using the catalyst as the handle, the izalith catalyst would form some variation of the garg halberd, beatrices would produce a great sycthe, logans would make either a club or a longsword, the banishment catalyst would make a spear, the crystal catalyst would make a greatclub (most powerful but slow seems to fit) and the dark moon catalyst would make a great sword, if talismans also had a similar skill they would either form fists or daggers (not sure which) and for pyro you'd form a warpick (mini bed of chaos arm scythe thing)

    Well actually I was hoping it would be a skill that really has nothing to do with magic whatsoever. I only called it a spell because it takes up an attunment slot.

    oooh... i misunderstood... in that case greatclubs should have a quake like skill that does light damage to everything nearby with minor stagger, ultra greatswords should have a skill that temporarily allows 100% block when twohanding their weapon (for phys only)... umm can't think of any other cool techniques except for katanas which would have super quick draw attacks...

    I think that's why From put pyromancy in the game, but yea aesthetically that would be really cool

    Pyromancy is meant to be the zero range magic. But if From ever decides to go Wuxia on us, I want to be able to lunge at someone with powered fists!

    I like the skill idea. Charges, Spin attacks remniscent of the Legend of Zelda, damage protection, auras maybe.

    They are magic though and you need heavy stat investment to use them. The resins dont really cut it.

    resins suck, the only resin i find useful is the rotten pine resin, i like how poeple freak out when they get poisoned with my large club even though it drains your vit too slow to realy matter.
