Where should I take my build next.

Post by Noob-of-Artorias on Sat May 19, 2012 2:22 pm

Currently going on a Wanderer Dex Build.

At SL60 my present stats are

    Vitality 22
    Attunement 11
    Strength 14
    Endurance 30
    Dexterity 30
    Resistance 12
    Intelligence 11
    Faith 12

The gear I'm currently using is Full Orenstein's Set with RoFaP and DWGR for full mobility.

Weapon wise I'm packing Quelag's Furysword +4 with Iato +10 in the right, and Grass Crest Shield +10 and a Tali in the left.

I was planning on taking this character to SL 120 or so, so I was planning on capping my Dex Endurance and Vitality at 40 and maybe my faith too (for miracles) I also realize I should probably pour some points into Attunement so I can have something other than force on hand.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking of dropping Orenstiens set in favor of something a little slimmer looking, I'd like to get the brass set but unfortunately seeing as how I've locked myself out of the Darkwraiths (I placed the Lord Vessel) the Darkmoons are really my only hope with regards to PVP (I can't go back to the Forest Either, lets just say I didn't "find" my Dark Wood Grain on the ground)

Also, on an unrelated note, I think Frampt is gone...I fell down the hole trying to talk to him so I just placed the Lord Vessel myself but when I warped back up he said something I couldn't read in time and he just dissapeared...I can't figure it out...

first, you don’t have to be in a cov to PvP. you can host instead IE go to a hot spot for PvP in human form and wait till you get vaded or summon someone using the rss.
second, i would place the stat points like this you have 30 fth which is enough for most spells, 3 spell slots, all the dex you need for a good dex build, enough vit to survive most BS especially with the fap ring, and your end is enough to get a fast roll with a lot of armour combos.

Thank You, that looks great, any suggestions as far as armor goes? Orenstiens is great...but I think I can do better.

Also, I'm currently in the Sunbro covy, at my SL, where's a good place to put my WSS Sign down? I'm trying to earn the Great LS.

You can still be a forest hunter. Go to oswald and absolve yourself, then talk to alvina again.

I find Anor Londo to be the best for Co-op at that SL but, at the bonfire after the annoying knight archers. But thats just me, might be batter places

I've tried placing my sign at the bonfire after the archers (no seriously, screw those archers -_-) but after 10 minutes, nothing, not a single bite.

Also, I know I could just absolve myself and rejoin the Hunters, but I was a hunter on my last build and I'm looking to switch things up (besides, PVP is completely imbalanced in the forest.)

in terms of armour you should really choose something that looks good in your eyes, i run around with the dragon body a lot so i shouldn’t be the one suggesting armour combos silly

here are the poise breakpoints that you should know, poise is really the most important thing when choosing an armour combo.
    Spoiler:
For melee there are 4 major Poise breakpoints.

    76 poise (51 for 1-handed resists):
    All Ultra Greatswords 2h R1s
    All Great Axes 2h R1s
    All Great Blunt 2h R1s

    53 poise (36 for 1-handed resists):
All Great Asian Swords 2h R1s
    All Great Swords 2h R1s
    All 1-handed Blunts 2h R1s
    All 1-handed Axes 2h R1s

    31 poise (21 for 1-handed resists):
All Asian Sword 2h R1s (and R2 in the case of Shotel)
    All 1-handed Sword 2h R1s
All Katana 2h R1s (including Washing Pole)
    All Great Scythe 2h R1/R2s
    All Whip 2h R1s
    All Large Spear (Partisan/Pike) 2h R1s
All Small Spear (Silver Spear/Winged Spear) 2h R1s
All Halberd/Pole 2h R1s (figured this would have been 53, but it wasn't).

8 poise (6 poise for 1-hand resists, or Fist Weapons):
    All Rapier 2h R1s
    All Dagger 2h R1s
All Fist Weapons R1s (although this is actually 6 since you can't 2-hand a Fist Weapon)

Hm...Works for me, maybe my luck is just odd
IF that doesn't work Dukes is also good at that point. Good place to summon as well, some what short if you know the level, and the boss isn't hard at all if you know what you're doing
Of course, all this is how I've had it, could be complely different for you.
