Anti-Troll/Ganging tactics
I have been enamored with the Darkmoon Blades since I invaded my first sinner, however as f late I am finding people attempting to farm me as the do the forest invaders. Are there any darkmoon's or otherwise out there who wish to share their "You will not farm me, no sir!" tactics, aside from not invading.

Re: Anti-Troll/Ganging tactics
I've won a few 3v1's, mostly out of luck but here are some things that can help you out.
1. Always assume when you invade dark anor that there are at least 3 phantoms there waiting to kill you. So keep an eye out, until you are engaged in combat with someone keep your camera panning to keep an eye on all sides of you.
2. BACKSTABS! will save you life. If you can rush the host and get a backstab you could have just one the fight. I wouldn't recommend this unless you have a massive damage output because if you mess up there's two other guys waiting to kill you with backstabs.
3. No matter what people say, firestorm/firetempest if use right can make quick work of groups. The same goes for WoG, having a few casts of this can save your life.
4. 3v1 groups are cocky and make mistakes a lot. Having spells like Great Fireball and Soul Spear fired into the groups can put some damage on them.
5. Lloyd's talismans! Have 99 at all times when invading.
6. Despite the fact you are both trying to do the same thing, never trust a darkwraith. If they don't attack you on sight don't attack them, but keep your eye out because sometimes people summon dw's to help them farm.
7. Dung Pies. Farm these. Keep flinging them at the party. Also, have moss on you for when you make yourself toxic.
8. Have humanity or a healing spell. Farmers won't chase after you if you run in most cases. They're assuming you're going to black crystal out and its faster for them to just let you go. So run, heal and regroup. Just don't let them bs you on the way out.
9. If you're an "honorable" pvper, throw honor out the window when you get jumped by more than one person.
10. Equip the dwg ring and make use of it. Being faster and having the better roll will give you an edge.

Re: Anti-Troll/Ganging tactics
Isn't a lot you can do - at best you can kill one or two of them. My new one is to spam WoG nine times as soon as I spawn and see more than one person waiting for me. At FAI 44 and Darkmoon Talisman, I can usually kill at least one of them.

I'm thinking of making a DM character. What's the recommended soul level for invading via the Darkmoon covenant ring?

Re: Anti-Troll/Ganging tactics
In the PvP section, there are a couple of threads that might help, including one on being jumped generally and one on the forest covenent.
Backstabbing truly is the most important piece of advice. It does big damage and, more importantly, gives you invincibility frames. I've found that the easiest way for me to score a bs is to drop back while one of the farmers sprints at me, lock on, backpedal for a second or two, then suddently reverse directions for the counter-pivot-stab. You can rush in for the pivot stab yourself, but it often puts you in the middle of their gang, so you'll die if you miss the stab.
My other piece of advice is inner strength. Once you engage a group of three (obviously, don't cast until you're about to actually fight), you have about 5-10 seconds to kill the host before one of them scores a lucky stunlock or backstab. Inner strength makes your counter-pivot or affirmative pivot really count. Follow up with a wakeup WoG or two (wakeup GC also works, but it doesn't protect you against bs's from the phantom helpers), and you've got a good shot at killing one or two of them before they know what hit them.

It works like the forest cov, you'll be put in a queue and when it's your turn you're up no matter what level you are invading.

Re: Anti-Troll/Ganging tactics
get good at pivot backstabbing, equip hornets ring and power within + super powerful weapon, and save it all for 3v1 encounters.
just do not use said technique in 1v1 fair fights. only 3v1 farmers

Too bad the devs hadn't incorporated some way to enter random 2 vs 2 battles. The 3 vs 1 stuff is too lopsided to even be useful.

I would put something else on the very top of that list...Use the environment to your advantage! In Dark Anor Lando, if I can't see them, I mess with their routes by moving the stairs on them and closing doors, like the main doors leading to O&S.

Re: Anti-Troll/Ganging tactics
For dark anor londo you usualy have the oppurtunity for running. When I'm facing 3v1 I always sprintto the moveable staircase. I am either able to seperate the phantoms from the host or vice versa. If they possibly all get on they will attempt to gank you at the turner. (There is also a funny glitch that is unlikely to happen where ur stuck under it and they can't hit u but u can hit them lol.) Anyways when ur on the ledge either prepare to use wogwhen they get close or get ur weapon ready. Attack the enemy on the right side of u when ur next to the tuner. He will take damage, fall off and die. The others will do the same or try to play it safe. From then on depending what they do ylu can adapt to the situation. Stay near th turner, its your base for defense, easy to wog the entire team off to their deaths. Hope this helped! (On phone sorry for typos!

It's when you post a reply to something only to find that a reply with the same content has already been posted while you were writing your reply. It's taking me a while to write this, so I will probably be ninja'd.

I have never even seen a summon sign in ToG
Seperating the enemy with AI will help alot too, the 2 Giant Clerics in the Main chamber of Anor londo usually keep 1-2 busy, pick your favorite and enjoy the balanced odds (3v3)

Re: Anti-Troll/Ganging tactics
The problem with that idea is that most farmers farm in dark anor londo. So those giants aren't there. The best option you have is to hide with the silver knights or painting guardians.
