DLC question

Not sure if this is in the right section but regarding the DLC/new game for pc coming out in august does anyone know 100% if its coming out for xbox and ps3? i keep hearing different things.. not that i need dlc games amazing without it just better pvp matchmaking might be better

I suspect that there will be DLC for consoles but Namco is waiting till last minute to announce it to maximize PC sales.

ahh what reasons would there be of them not releasing it for consoles?

Well they did walk around with their heads held high saying "Dark Souls is a complete game, there will be no DLC" before Dark Souls was released. So technically they can fall back on this and say "we told you so". But why wouldn't they want more money? Beats me.

im sure they will put out more dlc maybe a little later after the pc version comes out? hmm never know :p

Yea I'm sure they wont leave us who were there from the beginning with our balls out in the cold, they could if they felt like it, but here's to hoping they wont.

This attitude is to be expected from a company that would make a game like DeS or DkS. They are obviously works of Passion guided by a real artistic vision, as opposed to strictly money making endeavors. So I would expect an artist to feel their art is finished and want a new project. If FROM was solely interested in the moneys DeS would have never been made.

So continue to expect odd behavior from them, and be worried the moment they become predictable.

This is true, but the PC version and potential DLC is being done by Namco, not From. Namco distributed the North American version of Dark Souls. So a cash grab is not entirely out of the question. Furthermore, with the way videogames have been retailed lately i.e., on disc DLC, multiple versions of the same game (I'm looking at you Capcom fighting games), it wouldn't be surprising if they packaged a whole new game and charged 60 bucks for it.

Doesn't seem like a Namco thing to do. I bet we'll just get DLC

I think they would actually lose money if they pumped out more discs to be honest

I doubt they'll do it. They'll keep quiet about DLC until the PC copy hits, let it sell for a few weeks then mention DLC for consoles which will bring players back and help push out a few more copies of the game.
