So...Lifehunt Scythe...

I created it because I thought it would be good for my dex character...I knew it caused bleed damage to you AND your opponent, but I had no idea how much it actually did....wow, It's essentially useless for PVE.

I also picked up the blood shield which supposedly reduces bleed effect, any other way to do so? What's good armor to use with this thing?

Bloodbite ring, and I think Eastern and shadow set have large bleed resist

Most light armors have good defense against auxillary effects. Then chuck in a heavy armor gauntlet and leggings for added poise, and you should be set.

Bloodshield and bloodbite ring combined and any armor you feel like. I did an entire pve run with it. The only time I hurt myself was when I forgot to plan ahead. A few bosses and the gang of hollows in the parish. I only needed the ring on bosses. Wore the gold hemmed set with stone knight chest and varied the gauntlets

Most of the others covered the most important things, but you could also farm up a nice stock of Bloodred Mosses and just eat them as needed.

Or you could just buy the moss from the female Undead Merchant. She sells them for pretty cheap.

Bloodbite Ring, that's what I'm missing. That combined with the bloodshield and I should be set, I'm unfortunately gonna have to give up my Dark Wood Grain Ring, but that's ok, I can always switch back to it whenever I'm gonna use my Kellog Sword or my Iato.

Now to get a decent armor other than my Orenstiens going, I'm gonna go kill Gwyndolin and get myself the Brass Set. I'll still be light enough to avoid the fatty roll.

It had me in it's vicious grip too. Then I got 3 because of ng+'s so I got rid of it.

I say go kill jeremiah, get his hat and give it to snuggly, then take that damned ring off and replace it!

Good plan. Although most mobs die well before you do with just the shield. I was rocking gold serpent and slumbering dragon crest mostly. Would break out bloodbite for bosses only with a swap to Havel's if I wanted an armor change

the painting guardian set has awesome resistances, so you could try it.

also the scythe makes you bleed if you hit an enemy still in the "dying" animation, so don’t just mash the attack button if they are close to death.

Didn't get it unfortunately JoeBroski, though it wasn't for lack of trying =/ I carry Iato as backup, good swingspeed and good range make it a decent backup, plus it still causes bleed damage.

This is where I'm hoping to take this build, I'm finding that for most PVP and PVE encounters I don't need the Ring, but for bosses, I most definitely do.

That doesnt work. I recently broke my ankle a few months ago. You gottah wait to walk. Luckily i just started walking a month ago, but i had to take off my fap ring..... that sentance had a lot of dark souls and real life mixed in hahaha!
