Well I had planned on buffing my uchi with DMB and switching if it was a drawn out fight. So I'll go for occult. The worst that could happen is I waste some shards. Haha thanks man

id personally make the uchi occult and buff the rapier

If you are playing SL 120, with 40 dex the normal +15 ricard's rapier will do more damage than the occult, even if your occult ricards has more AR. I have your same build 40dex/50faith, and I have DMB+ ricards or iaito. For a secondary back up I have a DSS and switch it for divine claymore. The thing about choosing a back up enchanted weapon is to look a the scalings of weapons. With your stats, your better choosing a low str requirement weapon with low scalings and convert it to occult. My divine claymore does more damage than normal +15. It's a little tricky to choose an enchanted weapon as back up, so if you have questions please ask.
