Painting guardian sword? Empty Painting guardian sword?

Has anyone used this for PvP? How did you find it? I Can't test right now because all my stuff is packed into boxes.

It seems like it hits pretty hard, has bleed and is hard to parry...

    Anyone?

short reach but it hits really hard, specially when buffed. tricy to use in pvp but viable.

its pretty decent. its more of a secondary dex weapon more so then a main weapon. its range is its biggest downfall. its good for people who are pro at parrys because its one of the more unique movesets.

I managed to pull out the golden luck of the gods and parried the first attack of the first PGS I saw in PvP.

I then had to chain stab the host to death after he used like 3 Divine Blessings and like 2 or 3 Sunlight Blades...

The PGS is one of my favorite weapons for PvP. The 2H R2 is amazing.

It's actually a very good weapon for PvP. Has better damage than people expect, great speed, bleed, and it's fun to use... Until you come up against someone who'll parry you. The lack of range makes it too predictable. Whenever you're in range of someone, you have to attack, or you'll miss your chance and your opponent will be out of range. But since you're so predictable because of your total lack of range, anyone can easily parry you as soon as you're close enough. And its moveset doesn't have varied enough attack timing, so even if you mix up the R1s and R2s, you'll still get parried the same.

Really, I loved this thing intensely for a while, until I used it in FC. I still use it in the Burg, but when you go up against people who aren't afraid to parry you better have a backup weapon.

Oh, I forgot to mention: the thing won't even let you kick people. Its kick animation is replaced by a cartwheel attack, which can be parried with the exact same timing as your R1 or R2 attack. So another way you'll get parried using this weapon. I carry a notched whip in my offhand to dissuade people form trying to parry me, but that's a tricky move to pull off too.
