Your Favorite Game?

Which other games do you DkS players like? (Sudoku may be?)



Sometimes I need variety to DkS and am playing Battlefield 3 or Bad Company 2 or Uncharted 3 or Payday: The Heist . I really like the cooperation aspect of these Shooter games!



If you are not familiar with Uncharted series, I would order you to get known to it! I think it’s the best game present! and I think you heard that before....

Uncharted 2 featured a crossbow in late game I would like to adapt to Dks… It was One shot one kill to normal enemies

Hmm I don't really have a favourite game, just a few ones I'm rather fond of, though I have never played uncharted myself it I heard it's a bit linear seeing as it is a game about an explorer/adventurer.. Bit of a Paradox really.

Favourite game - Legend of the Dragoon
At the moment apart from Dark Souls I'm playing Vanquish, Lots Planet 2 and darksiders. I also love Killzone.

I have to say either Valkyria Chronicles, because I ended up actually caring about my squad abd did all I could to keep them all alive, or Tales of Syphonia, for its 100+ hour story with heaps of side quests and huge replayability. But mostly for its amazing story spanning two worlds, bringing you from fighting skeletons to godlike beings, and each of the 9 characters has an awesome side story to themselves.

If you want real characters with real stories you should try LotD. I heard Valkyria Chronicles was good. I always get it confused with Valkyrie Profile though.
Also Im going to be a little crazy about LotD in this thread and if no-one else has played it I will be very sad

Literally you're the first person I've ever known except me to have owned that game, I wish Sony had made more games like that one!

Lavitz dying = best video game scene ever.
In fact all the scenes where someone died were amazing (as morbid as that sounds).

That is true, the scene where Lavitz dies deserves as much to be a part of game history as Aerith's death. It's a shame that it's obvious why the latter became more famous: Money

Yeah LotD never got the recognition it deserves. More copies needed to be made and more spent on advertising.

True, never got many copies made.. I found mine in WHSmith of all places (it's a book/stationary/newspaper kinda shop that also expands into other things like CDs, DVDs and Games), and I never saw it in any actual gaming shop.. Pretty rare to say the least.

Whoaaaa!!!!! Legend of the Dragoon!!!! :affraid: That's a game I would like again! Because I was only able to lend it from a friend and was not able to finish the game! Actually I don't remember how the gameplay was, but I know for sure it was so adorable and GRRRRREEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAT !!!!!!!

LMAO: Lotd costs around € 70.- like a new PS3 game. Highest price is € 400.- with Original packaging...

hahaha check this, on amazon the cheapest version of it is worth £58, even the strategy guide for it goes for £30, the most expensive version fetches £200 :shock:

I actually bought mine from blockbuster. I rented it out for 7 or 8 weeks at $8 a week then bought it for $25 when blockbuster let me buy it. I was soooooooooo happy. I think those prices reflect its worth. II sold about 1.25 mil copies.

To many, just to list a few: Jak and Daxter, Left 4 Dead, Modnation Racers, Deus Ex: Human Revolution, and Mass effect.

Americans who have not played this game, I just read that on the NA version of PSN store you can now purchase the legend of dragoon since the 1st of May 2012, sadly it has not been put up on the european one yet..

Also says there was a sequel being made, but was cancelled before it was announced.. that sucks

I would get it on PSN but I still have my PS2 with all my save files jst a quick plug swap away. All 15 or so of them.

I hope you're ready for a long wait. The time it took for NA version to be put on PSN after the Japanese version was 2 years

I'm not sure they'll put up a EU one, as the sales figures in europe were awful, so bad they're not even mentioned on the Wiki page for it

Just to say though, there's nothing stopping you from creating an NA account for you to download the game with though

Also love Legend of Dragoon. The combo system is really fun. Keeps you really involved in the combat. I only ever played it all the way through once. Maybe I'm due for a second. I think the Fire Emblem series is probably my favorite game series. I love tactical RPG's. It's really a shame how much the genre is fizzling out.

I really love the Kingdom Hearts series! The only reason I even brought consoles like the PSP was so I could play their games. And a new one is coming this July. :3 (And its close to my birthday too!)

I also like to keep up with the Final Fantasy games. And the Souls series of course!

I discovered it late in the PS1's life. In fact I remember the PS2 being released as I was playing it. I bought a PS2 and didn't even really play it until weeks after I had it because I was finishing LoD. I remember being really impressed by the characters. Loved the really dark woman. Rose I think her name was? She was my favorite. The black dragon.

Yeah, she had by far the best back story, though I forget now why shana the moonchild survived when the black monster was supposed to kill her, was it darts father who saved her?

I found it hilarious how every single plot point revolved around Dart, it was kinda ridiculous but interesting at the same time.
