Do spells like Poison Mist, Toxic Mist etc. or Poison arrows work on bosses like Ornstein & Smough. I've never tried them and wonder if anyone else has. I suspect they don't but it would be neat if they did.

Fatty can be poisoned, but the Poison Mist takes too long to cast and you only have one (I think).

Poison Knives are plentiful and accumulative. I would use these if I had to go against this pair alone. A crossbow is a good tool, too, if you hide behind a broken pillar and hit her with it when she jumps up or to the side a little bit.

I've never used the pyro mist spells on a boss but I've poisoned just about all of them with arrows. I just make sure to use my composite bow so I can get shots off quickly. Hell I didn't actually hot the centipede demon once, I just let him attack the npc summon while I stood well away and used my longbow +14 to pelt him with arrows.

Edit: just thought of this but on O&S I wouldn't expect the mist spells or arrows to succeed. As a combo they just attack so quickly and you need to be constantly moving I doubt you'd have the time to even shoot and arrow and getting poison mist off is probably impossible.

fatty and slim are both poisonable, i've done it with arrows and its fairly easy to do since you can get them stuck on pillars. the demon fire sage and cousins are also easily poisoned. none of the lord bosses are poisonable the taurus and capra demons take a mere two arrows to poison. the gargoyles... probably can be poisoned as i've poisoned their anorlondo counter parts but that took five shots... sif seems likely poisonable, but arrows wouldn't work well, maybe a poisoned blade...

The bed of Chaos, Nito, and Seath can not be poisoned. The NPC Maneater Mildred is -nearly- unpoisanable, but will eventually be poisoned. Other then that, I'm pretty sure I've poisoned nearly everything at once point or another.

Let me guess, you shot them with poison arrows? I spite my companion when she starts to take the lazy road, although it is just her style; Staying at the back and killing them without exposure whenever she can.

Actually, I tend to use Latrine Blades (Rotten Pine Resin). I've poisoned some foes via poison arrows, but that was just to see if I could, like rats and black knights.

Heh. Don't worry, I have poison resin too. I usually use it with enemies with more health than what my weapons can kill in three hits... which is most of them, actually.

I use poison resin when I do not feel like using miracles. I usually, if I do not use the miracles, have both acid surges and toxic surges on my character. I do not buy poison mists, as I prefer to toxic my enemies. Sadly it usually only has one spell, and that one spell has only one cast. So, what do you do?

Get your vitality high enough, then put the dusk ring on. Since i usually have my vitality reach the maximum of 30 (1100 health), it is usually about 550 on my character. Since I am wearing cloth armour anyways, and I usually never block with anything but my sword/hammer I use (except for four kings... I use dark hand), It is good anyways. You just have to remember to hit hard and fast, and to be good with your rolls... which I am.

Problem is that the only other ranged weapon I usually have is my Heavy Crossbow, in which can only go so far. So when enemies run away from fright, I have to make sure to run after them. The ranges form the mist spells can reach very long if you know how to aim, which practice with using firebombs has gained me a good amount.

Rotten Pine Resin was made with NG+++++ and beyond in mind IMHO.

Well, I have reached there once. When I get there again, I will keep that in mind.

Enemies have stamina too. The pine resin makes them occasionally just defunct and not do anything due to running out of stamina. It's the best opening you'll ever get IMHO.
