Black Iron Armor Set Empty Black Iron Armor Set

Post by Delvanoc Mon May 07, 2012 11:43 am

I have recently fully upgraded my black iron set, switched some gear around, using eagle shield +14 and a MSGS, rings are havel and dwgr. I went from being completly noob in pvp to winning 75% of my fights when being invaded. This is working great for me, but I have to ask, is this setup worth while? I wasted some points, but overall this is mainly just a test toon for me.
Is the black iron set actually worth while in pvp?

Edit: meant to put this on the pvp forum, if any mod could move this over there, I would be greatful. Thanks happy

Haha take a look at T-King - He is a tarkus Cosplayer and he is a fking boss @pvp so yes it is a worthwhile set imo

its one of the best heavy armors in the game and looks a lot bette than havel's and giant's so i'd say stick with it, you might wanna test other shields cause eagle shield is not that good for pvp.

Yeah, I have been playing around with some stats, and with havels and RoFP (favor ring) and 41 or so end, I can wear the set, msgs, GSoA, Avlyn crossbow. Not only does it look nice, but will keep me at a medium roll. Does this sound better?

I would say Light Xbow beats Avelyn - Lightning light xbow with lightning bolts hits extremely hard - and can be pulled out and shot within 0.2 seconds. its a great punisher weapon

its the only armor i feel safe fatrolling in! pyromancy is weakend a good deal by it too, the only issue is its relatively low lightning def which can be augmented by a shield like the silver knight shield (highest stability med shield)

Good point. It's really just there for quick firing anyways... It's not really so much about the damage output. So, with that small modification, this is what I have come up with...
    Build

    Any Thoughts?

Edit: Also, if I went with the silver night shield, I could pick up the Flip ring again and be quick as well as tough, but I would lose about 300 health in the process. hmm...

nice but I'd say Drop the Greatshield - it does nothing for you - if you really want stability upgrade a Balder Shield to +15 or a heater shield this allows you to lower your end a bit if you really want to

Thx so much for all the advice, I believe I have a setup that I am going to roll with... Btw, off topic TehInfamousAmos, Would this build fit your player made covenant? With the armor and all?

Hmm this would fit it more http://tinyurl.com/842tt5p although magic isnt allowed so you could drop the faith silly and put it in vit and also Lightning isnt allowed either :/ so it could kinda fit with a bit of adjustment

dont put any points in dex if youre gonna use pure str weapons, its a waste. maybe go with the silver knight shield or iron shield and instead of putting points in dex put them on end.

I rarely use magic to begin with. So it would not be to far fetched for me to change some things around. And good point bout the dex. Well, I am going to start this up this week. I will let you know how it goes. Thx again for all the advice!!!

Ai, what rant said. I'm liking where this is going, it's a serious threat with the msgs and dmb.

My input is focus more on end, and switch to a fully upgraded balder shield.

to be honest if yo do not use magic often i would recommend to ust have 14 att for two magic spots and go pure str and no magic, tanking with a buff is a bad idead imo specially if youre very defensive which will hinder the liimited time you have with your bufff but maybe try to not be a defensive? just suggestions.

    edit; maybe this? http://tinyurl.com/74nz8zo
you can switch around vit with end or whatever you want and have great fireball or great combust.

if you have any spell slots at all just pick up a basic heal for utility purposes or maybe repleneshiment.

Pure defensive, no. I have found that being a little defensive and then bursting on the offensive has worked well for me. But, I think you may be right about the buffs not being good. It would be hard to go from defensive to offensive with a buff in between. To much time for them to know what is going on.

T has a cosplay Tarkus with 40/30 str/dex and he kicks *** with it, fat roll and all(you shouldnt roll with fat roll which he doesnt specially against magic)
