wha-..what?? pvp confusion?

So I'm quite confused but intriged how this guy beat me 3 timesin a row. I invaded the painted world circular arena. This guy had dark grain wood ring, giants armor, mask of the mother and I'm assuming a +5 lightning halberd. This guy ate my health like it was candy! I am extremely impressed and give kudos 1. For beating me 3 times in a row and 2. Proving that you can use anything to win. (Even tho it was lightning I rarely see reg halberds anymore). I would like to get other's input on this. Thanks!

Also this was at SL 120.

ii think i got my *** kicked by that guy a week ago too, did he parry your *** to death? cause he did it to me.

He tried. But I was able to either stay back or use sunlight blade. He kpt away usually. Till I had a slight opening then ate my health like crazy haha.

halberd are hard to use in pvp, is it just me or the reg hal is better against shields? cause i was using the gargoyle hal and everytime i hit someone it bounced off their shield and left me open for an attack every time.

Perhaps. But w.e he did I wastruly taken away.

The thing with Halberds is they have a really long swing and are really easy to parry, but you need to be close to riposte depending on your weapon. The big advantage is the reach!

i had the same thing happen to using a gargoyle halberd in pvp. as much as i like the weapon, i have decided that is meant for pve.

@dj you can breeze through the game with a chaos gargoyle hal, it has sick reach and strong as hell too, deff one of my fave weapons for pve.

I use the Halberd for pvp, lightning as well as fire. It's great as long as you arent a berzerker and dont go for the 5 sec win. It is also great when facing more than one phantom kuz you can flip and swing and anything in the area is getting hit. Two handed swings go around twice for even more damage. I dont parry though so that def wasnt me.

Were you online today earlier, by any chance, and in Tomb of Giants?
I was invading there, battled a white phantom with a lightning gargoyle halberd, then he again as the host.
Lost both I guess, but were good fights.
