A Viable Faith Hybrid Build? Empty A Viable Faith Hybrid Build?

Post by Razielthemanslayer Sun May 06, 2012 1:05 am

My last faith build was nice, but I misplaced some levels on inteligence and Strengh. So I made another one!.

Basically it will have a lot of vitality, endurance, dexterity and faith!. it will not achieve 50 in any of these but it will be really good IMO.

    Why Vitality and Endurance?.

Cuz i'm not still pro, Lotsa Vitality and Endurance will atleast provide me good resistance.

    Why Dexterity?
Cuz some weapons scale with it. and it speeds up some miracle casting a vit!.

    Why Faith?.
Cuz I love the offensive miracles in this game!.

    These would be the stats:

    Name: Zephyr
    Class: Cleric

    Vit: 40
Attunement: 16 (Enough for 4 miracles)
    End: 40
    Strengh: Base
    Dexterity 40
    Res: base
    Int: base
    Faith 40

Is this alright? Please gimme recommendations! Armor recommendations, weapon recomendations, Anything!. :3

My only problem with it is that it's SL125. Bring it to SL120 and it sounds good! I'd say keep the Dex, probably cut down on the Fth or End.

As for weapons, Dex gives you a large variety to choose from: curved swords (painting guardian sword, falchion), piercing swords (estoc, Ricard's rapier), spears (winged spear, partizan), katanas (iaito, uchigatana) etc. If you want to use those spears or katanas, though, it might be a good idea to bring your Str to 14 so you can wield them 1-handed.

And armor totally depends on your priorities; do you want defense or poise? I'd say get yourself either Havel's gloves and/ or legs, to boost your poise, and fill the rest with a combination of medium (balanced between poise and defense) and light armors (great defense per weight, no poise).

I'd drop faith by 10 and put 5 points into Vitality.

    Use the Canvas Talisman.

This. Faith between 30and 50 is too costly and doesn't have enough returns. This is because of the diminishing returns of the talismans. When you get to 50, then the Darkmoon Talisman really becomes powerful (but not before 50). So, IMO, it's best to keep Faith at either 50 or 30.

I say choose your armor, then experiment with the endurance until you reach minimum equipload for medium (to use DWGR) or fast roll. 40 faith is good, but 50 is much better, as reim says.
