    First off lets keep this realistic and show the souls series the respect it deserves. If someone says "remove backstabs" they're getting a -1 from me(lol jk but cmon). Lets try to keep it from going too off topic and keep it to 3 things you would like to change and 3 things you want to see return in its full glory! ok heres mine, and i want to hear everyone else also. i guess you dont have to follow the 3&3 but w.e just curious of peoples thoughts.

    RETURN:
    1.Demon's Souls style pvp system(hosts,summons,invaders) sry covenants were cool but....
    2.Dark Souls combat mechanics(they could be tweaked a little but i think its near perfect as is)
    3.Dark Souls open world(this would include bonfires which i personally like)

    CHANGE:here it comes
    1.Backstabs(im not a dev, but maybe remove the whole pivot system. unlock roll bs only)idk
    2.Wall Detection(i think we have all been killed by something behind a 3ft wall at some point)
    3.Weapon/Spell balance(this is difficult to do and i think from does a good job, still needs to improve however)


    these are just opinions.what are yours?

    Enemy AI. I think it should be improved somehow. The one they have now is too exploitable.

    Have roaming enemies. the black knights where suppose to roam about lordran but they cut it out sadly i though having enemies in different places would be nice but i would not be to bothered if they kept it the same in the next souls game

    Ice and Necromancy spells.

    Better covenants, need more reason to stick with a covenant. As it stands the only good ones worth the rewards are Darkwraith and Sunbros.

    Improved pvp and multiplayer, like maybe a list of people to choose from to summon to your aid.

    Better weapon scaling, things like straight swords suck in this game because of weapon scaling. Do an upgrade system more like Demon's Souls.

    Speaking of Demon's Souls, healing upgrades to scale with faith.

    Customizable and unlockable parry and backstab animations. Sure they're pretty cool as it is now but I would love my character to be able to parry then flip over my opponent and slash their throat open.

    Demon's Souls casting system. Could make this into attunement.

    Cooler spells. Second Chance from Demon's Souls was awesome, give us some more spells like that. Also include some creative variation to, like maybe a lightning breath or a cheap lightning ball spell. Also a spell that shot soul arrows in the air and had them rain down would be incredibly awesome.

    Demon's Souls like homing souls arrows. Make the number of balls appear based on the players magic/intelligence level.

    Make archery better. Let's be honest, in both games archery and crossbows were terrible with the exception of avelyn. Make bows and crossbows a viable option.

    Awesome high level spells. Like a lightning storm if had 75 faith, meteor for pyromancy users if you had enough attunement slots or mana, a giant magical explosion if you had 75 intelligence.

    Cooler spells animations.

    Bring back demons casting system and demons atmosphere and demons wotg... oh i could just keep going lol

    This would be awesome. It would be new every time you played, and boy would farming be a pain in the !$#

    More open worldness. Being able to go more than one way to your goal. Despite everything i originally thought dark souls was going to be open world like sjyrim so when it came out I was disappointed and it always felt a bit linear to me.
    Wall detection! Why do my attacks bounce off walls bu the enmies can attack right through them?

    More weapon types, and more viability for all weapons, having ones that are awful for no reason kinda annoys me a bit. Upgrade for weapons a hybrid between demons and dark, not too confusing and farming like demons but not over simplified like in Dark with catch all ores.

    More NPC storylines/optional boss encounters. Maybe make NPC quests have bosses in them or things like that, would help flush out the optional extras of the game effectively.

    Archery worth a damn again like in Demons.

    No matter how many people ask for it, casting like demons is unreasonable, it means you can do the entire game using spells if you have enough MP replenishing things and just made it far too easy. Forcing people to use melee was a good thing in my opinion.

    Try and reduce lag on online, though lets be honest it's not the most important thing compared to the PvE, thats them main thing the game is being made for.

    Bring back the idea that every boss you get a soul from, and bring back spells getting made from souls too, that was an awesome idea that got dropped this game, I think was a bit of a shame to be honest.

    Bring back from Demon's Black phantoms again. The gravelord idea was cool but didn't work that well, however tendency I don't want, it's a nice idea but in practice is not that amazing or fun.

    If they bring back covenants, make them more important and commitment being required. not just spell types but weapons too. If they were made more vital and a more solid choice, PvP variety could only benefit from it.

    More bosses! And roaming minibosses would be amazing.

    I'd like to see even more weapon choices, as well as a way to choose the way your wield it. And bring back mana damn it, casting in Dark Souls makes long fights impossible.

    More interaction with other members of the same covenant would be cool. I like how in the forest hunters you hunt with other hunters, but no other covenants really do much in that way. It's fun to fight for common goals with randos like that

    not trying to be a **** but a lot of the things you said are actually in the game already.

    -heal miracles scale with talismans mag adj,and talismans scale with faith(idk if thats what you meant

    -homing soul mass :The number of orbs appearing are dependent on the Intelligence level: 18=2, 19=3, 25=4, 31=5.

    -Bows are very viable in pvp and extremely viable in pve i think a lot of people in these forums will agree. and lightning crossbows are deadly with good timing. its just all about the timing.


    i do like the idea of being able to pick people for pvp in a more traditional sense. i think something like the upcoming game dragons dogma might work. its not co-op but you can summon "pawns" via a stone called a rift stone. i dont think it would kill the atmosphere and was thinking of including that in my post.once again sry if this came off rude, it was not meant to be.

    My one and only wish is that Dual-Wielding becomes viable, and not just for parrying, I mean both weapons being used.

    Yeah I definitely prefer the DkS no grasses, no magic bar systems. Life and spells are more of a commodity. You have to think a little more strategically and pick and choose

    That too. Having weapons that come as pairs even I think would be a good idea.

    im kinda torn on the whole mana thing. i totally agree it kinda kills pve by making it far to easy for mages. but i did think the longer fights were fun since everyone could heal quickly and restore mana. im really torn lol cause i also like the more realistic length of fights in dks.

    serious i totally agree about the boss souls being used for spells(and make sure theres no glitch so people actually have to choose between what they want). I also agree with all of you who said roaming enemies or black phantoms would be cool. i like everyones ideas.

    whats everyones opinion on poise? did you prefer how it worked in demons souls where greatswords send you flying or how it is in dark souls? also what about armor upgrades, did you prefer having them have set stats like demons or being able to upgrade like dks?

    edit: i completely forgot about that. I would love to see them have being left handed as an option.

    Upgrading armour and poise should be kept, but needs adjusting for sure. Also I think the sending flying for heavy weapons should be brought back at poise break, not stun lock, stun lock is the most unrealistic pile of bull ever really. To me at stun you should get knocked down.

    Problem for me with demons armour is it was so ineffectual. It's been proven that the base defense from your character level is stronger than armour even at equal values, having in Demons PvP say 200 physical defense with armour of like 50 on top.. it's almost pointless.

    There should be an inverse rule for poise and stamina. Like more poise equals slower stamina regen, and zero poise means quicker regen. That and get rid of the DWGR or atleast nerf the crap outta it.

    Give a person incentive to use light armor! The way it is everyone and they're mom's are poise tanking and flipping like an overweight gymnast bugs the crap outta me.

    nah, poise isn't specifically related to weight, so that's a no go really silly But the imposition on stamina regen for heavy armour should be more significant, and I think there shouldn't be any rings that allow you to just roll up in heavy armour and flip.

    I definitely think FROM will get rid of any DWGR ideal in the next installment, that one piece of equipment completely shaped the PvP of Dark Souls to an almost embarrassing extent.

    once again i agree serious. i said the same thing in the patch 1.06 wish list post. poise could work but stunlocking should be removed completely and replaced by the knock down from demons. I guess it would be best to keep poise cause the first thing i thought of was getting knocked off a cliff/ledge by someone using a storm ruler while wearing knight armor. I think they should keep the ability to upgrade armor but have the final product be a lot less defense then what is available in dks. especially if they keep humanity and its defense boosts.
