I think I'm going to do it. . .

My next project in Dark Souls is going to be a no death, no bonfire run. The only bonfire I'm going to use is the one at firelink to become human, then after that I go cold turkey.

No bonfires through the entire game, only subsisting on humanity and my beginning ten estus.

Right now I'm deciding between Wanderer, Knight, Warrior, or hunter. I'm not even considering any of the magic users since I won't be able to recharge sorcery.

And I'm wondering if there is any way around dieing at Seath or having to warp out of Nito.

for nito you might be able to use the coffin for the gravelord cov to get back to catacombs, not sure. but you will have to warp after you defeat bed of chaos. And also there is no way around dieing at seath in the archives unfortunately.

That makes me uncomfortable, I'll just be sure to have homeward bones for those two times, and at Seath I'll slip on a rare ring of sacrifice and accept one death.

You can use darksign to warp out from Nito and Bed of chaos, but you will die from Seath :/

I know that people have done no death runs before. They just don't count Seath.

Also, what about when you need to rest at the lordvessel to offer the lord souls?

I don't remember exactly but he jumped on the elevator railing after he made it go back down and then rolled onto one of the nearby floors afterwards. If i knew where the video was i'd link but sadly i don't remember.

I did the no bonfire thing, and nothing happened. I cloud saved before killing any firekeepers, or beating the game. Id reload each time and only had access to the bonfire at stone dragon, the abyss and firelink altar. My idea was that estus drained humanity from the fire keepers, as did kindling.

I assumed the plot of this game is about the differences between religion/belief and forces of nature/the universe ala dragons(which represent a force of nature in asian culture) and gods/bonfires/humanity(representing something like religion). Religion has been known to mislead and misguide people, or to manipulate them, it is also a construct of man, who's conscience is easily dominated by superficial and materialistic concepts. Petrus is holy, but totally evil, tells you to light bonfires. Leeroy invades you from nito's lair, and he is supposed to be a paladin(his name also comes from WoW in which a dumb/naive paladin ruins the day). Solaire succumbs to the light if you dont intervene, he transforms with the sunlight maggot on his head into pure evil. You find priscilla half human, half dragon sequestered away under the protection of the gods in a painted world that you cannot leave unless you make a "leap of faith." King jeremiah the exile is relatable to jeremiah from hebrew scripture(who became an exile when babylonians conquered jerusalem), and you find his body next to priscilla which lines up with the story of jeremiah. Priscilla is this incarnation of these two forces combined, and jeremiah's message was to bring man closer to god by influencing them to seek out their own humanity and do the right thing. Not to embrace the holy light because someone says to... thats how religion manipulates people.

The firekeepers are imprisoned, and enslaved to watch over the bonfires which ultimately benefit gwyn and the gods. I thought by beating the game without returning to human form, using any bonfires I would get something different, but nope.

Goodluck beating the game without dying. I think a better approach might be that everything in lordran needs to be killed without visiting a bonefire, its almost the same as not dying.

Its impossible.... there are some bonfires that are necessary. And even if you tried, there is no way your that good, that you wont need to replenish your flasks.

With Nito, you can homeward bone out, right?

I'm going to homeward bone from Nito and Bed of Chaos, other than that I can skip dying to Seath.

The only bonfire I have to use is offering the lord souls, so I'll just proclaim that's the end of my journey, since Gwyn isn't difficult.

Other than that I think I can do it, I'll really need every humanity and divine blessing I find to augment my 10 estus, but I think I can do it.

The bigger problem is I can't level up or farm at all, so I'm just going to have to roll with the items I can find on my first run through an area.

Yeah, duke's archive just became ten times less annoying.

That is a cool shortcut.

Build, since I might as well look good as I do it.

Then again, I could always just use the starting warrior stuff upgraded and beat all the epicnamebro challenges while I do the playthrough.

I would consider the wanderer base stuff to beat the epicnamebro challenges, but using with limited healing resources I need a shield with 100% physical.
