    Drenched in sin.

Post by deadagain on Fri May 04, 2012 12:02 pm

I bb glitched a character and my sin followed me. Ive been to oswald and paid him but I am still getting spanked by dark moons. I have not joined a covenant yet. Does anyone know if joining a covenant will reset my sin or am I stuck with all this sin?

Muhahahaha - how ironic that the glitcher carries over his sin - at least this encourages to make your builds properly

I am pretty sure it depends on what sins you committed in your original character. Some make it impossible to be absolved, I think killing Gwynvere or Gwyndolyn might cause it and they carry over when BBing. Not 100% sure but

I love it I dont even have to go through the trouble of invading to get my sin up.

@white. Yea I killed both of them with my other toon. Oh well, I just have to get good a killing dark moons.
@amos lol I've beat the game many times, I don't have time to run a toon all the way through the game for a user made covenant, it is ironic though.

You're stuck with it forever, muahaha.

Also, this may be why on the book of the guilty you see blocks of characters by the same player all with similar or nearly similar sin levels (sometimes quite high).

I don't see the problem with sinning. I mean, I barley see any darkmoons anyway, and they seem to aim for any soul level, no matter what. I have seen a few, and most are seen in one place, and that was Anor londo. other areas? forget about it.

@befowler. Hadn't thought to look in the book of the guilty. Thanks big grin

@acidic. I don't have a problem with sin, its just I've been hit in every area so far and I'm sl 15. I ask every dark moon their sl and the highest has been 56. Im about to go into sens and I hate getting invaded there. I like the action I'm getting and it feels awesome when I win at such a low sl but sens is just too much.

Every sin can be absolved, but remember, Darkmoons don't invade you because you "sin" in the common way (like attacking a NPC), they invade you because you get INDICTED. You can't get rid of them. It's impossible.

Sin carries over when you BB glitch, and indictments too. Remember that Darkmoons can invade low level people too haha. Be careful with WoG spammers, even if you're in Burg.

Yes you ca,n each time a Darkmoon kills you your sin decreases by 1 until it reaches 0 and they won't invade you no more until you sin again.

I think I need to stop writing weird stories. When I came into this thread I thought I was going to have to comfort you after having been raped.

I have like 10 indictments, and I've been killed much more than 10 times by darkmoons since my last indictment and I still get invaded by them.
