Tomb of Giants and Ash Lake Empty Tomb of Giants and Ash Lake

Post by bmurn Fri May 04, 2012 3:38 pm

    A quick question/observation.

I have not gone back to Ash lake in a long time, but have been hanging out in the Tomb of the Giants. It appears to me that tomb of the giants is occupying some prime lake front real estate on ash lake. Is this the case?

No value in the observation and many of you may say "well of course it is stupid, we noticed that a long time ago." But, wanted to put it out there.

I always thought the tomb of giants over looked lost Izalith, when you "fall" down into that pit with the skull lantern you can look over the egde and it looks alot like the demon ruins to me, or perhaps lost Izalith, I am not sure I have ever seen ashlake from the tomb.

Yep, he is right. I don't remember where you can see Demon Ruins from, but you can see the giant trees just before you fight Leeroy in Tomb of Giants.

You can see the DR right from the beginning of ToG. In the area where you slide down the coffins. It over looks the Ceaseless Discharge lava pool area. You can actually look up into the ToG from the Demon Ruins too. If you look up from the lava pool once it's drained you can see a large dark hole up in the ceiling

Lol yes. They were on NEC new England comics. I think there were about 15 and they were golden age format meaning they were larger than normal comics. The cartoon and show do not do the Tick justice. The comic was targeted at adults that like smart humor. I highly recomend reading them. The only comic.that made me.laugh out loud. Groo is a close second.

back on topic, I knew you could see Demons ruins and Ash lake from ToG, but I never saw ToG from Demons ruins or Ash Lake. I think the Ash Lake we see from ToG is a diferent place far away from the Great hollow. I try to see ToG from Demons ruins next time

I think it's in the direction of the DR entrance from Quelaags Domain. Like if you run down into the lava pool and look back towards the door. Even if it isn't it wont be hard to spot though. It's a pretty large opening.

@dead: I think the live action show is a stain on the tick's good name. I loved the cartoon though. Absolutely loved it

Well yes it does however with the recent undea population boom and the Rogue Pinwheel prices have been pushed down and the folk who like that sort of waterfront housing being pushed away. Its really hard to make a commision you know?
