DLC Speculation

So I was going through my Dark Souls art book and I noticed a few things. An undead wearing a sunlight maggot using a sword with a insect thing behind him. A fat executioner (from demon's souls) riding a pig. An undead wearing very used, shredded, and patched armor. A Tarkus looking knight with red eyes and a broken great sword. A flaming half spider half man beast. A female stone gargoyle. A top hat and trench coat man with a sniper crossbow in hand. A red poison frog. And finally, the chimera you've seen in the PC trailer.
These characters were never introduced in the original game but with the prospect of DLC looming on the horizon, these things may appear in it. Thoughts?

I know for a fact the chimera is there, but I don't think the other things will be (especially the fat official, think that was thrown in there as homage really).

Some of those are probably early designs of things, such as quelaag for the spider man thing or Tarkus for that red eyed knight.....

Saying that could the red eyed knight be another demon's homage in the art book?

Alot of the ideas that are thought of by game developer don't end up the main game. It is usually more because they think it was not a terribly good idea for the game or wasn't feasible. A few aren't implemented because they run out of time, but more just were never meant to be in the game in the first place.

As such I suspect we are more likely to see new stuff in the DLC rather than stuff that they thought of for Dark Souls, but didn't.

id like to see the crossbow guy. he looked amazingly awesome to the max of coolness. maybe if i asked him nicely enough, hed let me have one of his spare suits

The red eyed guy would be Tarkus. His red eyes probably had some reasoning that was cut.

The poison frog does show up in the forest, in the lower area near the wolf ring.


as for some of these showing up in the new DLC, possible but I agree with most of what has already been said, the fat official likely won't show up for copy right reasons. But I think the making of art book has a picture of Ciaran in it, which I am really excited about.



One interesting thing is the weapon the iron tarkus look alike was suppose to use:



We certainly don't see THAT in the game.

I can post some images serious, I wasn't sure if I should make a thread or not considering its like pirating but the images don't do much good to the community in a book.

Let me eat and I will start a thread with all the images in it, better quality since I won't be shaking like a ninny while trying to take the pictures.

yeah I was annoyed because they chnged Tarkus's sword but thats life. I wanted my slab of metal.

I was talking about the American art book I got cause of pre-ordering. And I to am bummed at the changing of the Tarkus slab.
