Six-Eyed Channelers set Empty Six-Eyed Channelers set

Something has been bugging me about this armor set. It's described as:

"The heaviest of protective gear for
    sorcerers, and imbued with magic."

I've done many tests with it. It does not have a magic adjustment value like the "Crown of Dusk" or the "Crown of the Dark Sun" that do 26% and 13% more magic damage respectively.

It couldn't be referring to magic resistance could it? Havel's armor trumps it in spades.

I looked at casting speed, spell totals, nothing.

We all know that the trident can buff allies, so what magic is this referring to?

To add to this, the helm has 6 eyes, which according to the description:

Helm of the Channelers, sorcerers that serve
Seath the Scaleless. The six eyes arranged
in two vertical columns compensate for
    Seath's lack of sight.

Everything I found points to finding maidens which get experimented on and turned into Pisacas.

Any ideas what they mean my "imbued with magic"?

In the meantime, I've started a Channeler's armor run in hopes of finding what this is all about.

It probably means its been hardened by magic. Being imbued with magic doesnt mean it has any special properties. Thinking of +1 armour in D&D, it just gives you a bit more defence.

I’d go with what dough is saying.. Also, in reference to you
saying “Havel’s armor trumps it in spades” this is true but I don’t think a
sorcerer would be using Havel’s armor they’d be more inclined to wear some type
of robe/cloth etc. I think when they say “heaviest of protective gear for
sorcerers” they mean the best protection in light spell caster sets, where the "imbued" thing comes from... I’d have
to look at the other sets to see if that’s true or not, but that could be
    somewhere to look.

Also, I think the 6 eye description you posted explains the
eye thing pretty well. If “compensates for Seath’s lack of sight” Have you ever
heard the phrase “You’ll be my eyes and ears”? Could mean literally he has some
magic where he can utilize those eyes to see through them or it could just be
symbolic that they do his dirty work. Hope this helps let us know if you find
    anything out in your playthrough!
