What is your favorite gear and why?

I'm not sure if anyone would agree with me, but I've taken a HUGE liking to the Elite Knight Set. It looks good, has very nice and balanced stats, and can fit with a lot of different helmets.

The entire Thorn set. It just looks so cool and its the only armor that deals damage 8)

I am now quite found of the brass set combined with the helm of favor. Looks totally badass and has decent stats.

The Xanthous set. I love rolling around with the hat on

Always loved the brass set, best looking set in the game in my opinion.

I generally progress through the game from Pyromancer -> Crimson -> Dingy -> Xanthous -> Giant's.

No, I'll agree with you there, I love the look of it and it has balanced stats as well, great medium armor. I haven't quite found the Brass Set yet, so I can't pass judgement, lol.

Wanderer. Its the cooler.

I usually wear a mix match of armor pieces.

Elite Knight Helmet

Black Iron Armor

Dark Gauntlets

Havel Leggings



But my most favorite armor set is the Black Iron set.

Ever since I started my Oscar II toon Ive fallen in love with how good this set is. At +10 the chest has 94 def, thats almost as much as smoughs chestpeice and its so much lighter. I love it.

I also love the blackiron set for its high defence and comparitevly low weight.

Ornsteins armor without the helmet or with Gold-Hemmed Black Hood, looks great and has very good stats including valuable lightning def.

the claymore, great balance between power, versatility, weight and speed, looks great too (specially with elite knight armor)

I love the Astoran straight sword but I wish it was viable later in the game. Apart from that Silver str sword is pretty good for my Oscar toon and MSGS is an amazing weapon for my black iron toon.

Black Sorcerer set with steel leggings and Dark Mask

The Elite Knight outfit gets a special +1 from me because it is one of the few outfits that can still look really nice with Mask of the Child. Throw in amazing stats and a laughable weight and its just great. Other then that, the brass armor is beautiful and I use it on my Darkmoon. Giant's set gets anoter special +1 as being the only heavy armor I will ever consider - the others look too clunky or just plain uncomfortable.

As for weapons I again have to agree with an above poster: the Claymore is one of my favorite weapons. It just carries a really good balance of everything and is generally cool looking. The Sunlight Straight Sword is also really cool; my sunbro uses a chaos one for flavor (if only i didnt have to kill Solaire, sigh~~~).I've also begun taking a liking to the Estoc, it's moveset is really fun and graceful.

On an opposite side of the thread: I *really* dislike pole arms and the lighter axes / maces. They're just boring and dont have the same feel as the swords and their heavier counterparts do. I mean, ramming a giant dragon's tooth down on your opponent - satisfying. Doing the same thing with a morning star - less so.

Hm, I've got a number of favourites: Elite Knight Set, Black Knight Set, Silver Knight Set and Paladin's set. Though I still want to try out the Darkling Set.

Maxing them out just for the hell of it.

What i rock is: Crown of the dark sun,Elite Knight Chest, Havels gauntlets and paladin leggings really practical and looks pritty bad *** in my opinon 8)

I honestly dont think I have a favorite set. But I really like to wear Elite Knight Helm with rest base knight armor. I also really like thorn armor, it looks so Bad ***!

I love the Helm Of Favor because it looks good with nearly ever armor set in the game. I feel like a king when wearing it with either the Brass set or Onstein's set.

My favorite weapons are the Zweihander, Black Knight Halberd, Dragon King Greataxe, and Avelyn.

i really like how this set up looks,especially when you have the murakumo on your back while 2hing the chaos blade.

my selection of gear has to do with the personality of my build so it changes. i also really like the normal knight set,wanderer set,giants set(except the chest piece),hallow theif set,dingy set,female pyro set,i honestly like a lot of the armor in dark souls.

Mask of the Sealer and then Xanthous chest, gauntlets, and legs. I look like I'm on a LARP quest.

Yeah, this game has so many sets of armour worth dying for. (Mainly through suicide runs).
