No, only divine weapons will stop them respawning.

Only weapons that have a divine effect will make them stay down, occult won't work I'm afraid. Of course certain weapons have that effect without being divine, like the astora straight sword or Silver Knight Spear.

It's a very good weapon, very great reach and decent damage. As long as you have the dexterity to wield it that is.

Just need 2 more dexterity, curses, and here I thought I could use almost any weapon I wanted.
