Thoughts on build, can't decide between two.

    http://tinyurl.com/7rv4a8f

    14 Str build, 50 Faith.

Hard hitting, using BSS/Katanas. WotG for emergencies (TWoP, WoTG Spammers, or gang ups). Receives 474 Damage from DMB, 339 from SLB. I won't be rocking both at the same time, just one at a time. Leo can be switched with wolf ring or RTSR. depending on how I choose to roll with the build (Poise or PW).

    http://tinyurl.com/7vcxwvl

    20 Str/44 Faith.

Again, BSS+Katanas (Mainly Washing Pole) Has access to more weapons. Avelyn, Murakumo (2h? Not sure on Str requirement) Server. Issue is 430 for DMB(44 loss on damage) 307 for SLB (32 loss in damage).

The above build obtains less damage, but more weapons to use. The Washing Pole, I would imagine with its awesome reach would be a lot harder to dodge, and 1h R2 still would achieve damage from Leo. Can also wield the Murakumo (I swear I think it's 19 Str for 2h) which is an amazing weapon itself.

I might go ahead and make both builds, and then work with each one to decide which one I'd prefer. I love 50 faith, it's just amazing for the amount of damage added. 44 does seem like a harsh loss though. I could wield the Washing Pole 2h, but I can not stand it's R2 attack when wielded that way.

Also, I've been invading in the burg, in a non griefer way. Using non-upgraded weapons and shields. I figured this would be the best bet to practice parrying, I've already been invaded by a griefer who ran away from my non-upgraded Reinforced Club after getting him in a BS, he then hit me with firestorm after using a divine blessing -.-

Option B washing pole 1h wins. Hurrah plus the added 2h options makes it worth the loss of AR.

For either build you might want to go with a lightning bss and 2-h it (sorry I just noticed you were saying that you wanted to use the normal path, but in the future the lightning path for the bss works well), I have been using this for the last week and it is a monster, it works well against all builds, has nice range and a great set of moves. I was using a katana also, but have now switched to bss as my main weapon.

And I would also go for option # 2.

is this primarily for dueling via FC?

if so, then buffing is the way to go. need to maximize your output and theres no threat of being cheesed while your doing it.

BSS is an awesome weapon, and I do have a build completely devoted to it and it does rock. 870 AR with DMB maxed. My only issue that I have been having with it are the damned ninja flippers. I have problems hitting them with it, and a FC would definitely help me get some practice in with it. The invincibility frames on that DWGR are just ridiculous, cant tell you how many times I have seen my sword connect just after the complete animation, or even before they start flipping around and I'd achieve no damage.

I know what you mean, but I have found that if you are able to match their roll and strike right as you are getting out of it you can hit them. Essentially follow them in a roll as if you are going for a bs to make them flip towards you and when that happens hit R1. Although doing this makes me really dizzy, it does work, you just have to constantly try to match their roll. There is most likely an easier way than this, but at this moment that is all I have figured out.

And the "invincibility" of the DWGR roll is annoying I've had so many "direct hits" that dealt no damage.

I got an int/dex build and I'm working on project chocolate thunder. A brute force str/vit build /w pyro just tying to find the right weapon. The greataxe is a monster but I'm not confident in the moveset..maybe its me. Great club and club look good as well as golem axe. The name comes from it being the dark skinned character with the very large model, but I'm gonna run with just havel gloves, balder waistcloth and a sack. Probably gonna get wrecked but it'll be fun.

Are you talking about dmb and sunlite blade? that makes more sense, my build is a pure dex build, which I should have mentioned, because now I can see why a buffed bss would be stronger than a lightning bss, sorry about that. The only buffs I had available were charcoal, gold and rotten resin, which did less dmg than the lightning bss.

I'm currently working on making a str/int build, although she does use gravelord sword dance as a backup.

I have int builds, I just really like the DMB buff and covenant. I even joined it on my CMW build.
