WHAT IS going ON

Any one have any ideas as to why a friend and I cant see each other for co-op any more. He is level 164 and I am 161. We both have nat 2 ratings and we used to be able to conect over a larger diference.

Are you on Xbox or PS3? I know the PS3 has been having a few hiccups lately, though I think I haven't seen any today so maybe they're done with.

Hmm, at that level traffic should not be an issue, unless you are seeing a lot of players in that range. Are you seeing a lot of PvP, or are there a lot of signs of other people? Or is it that you can sit for ten minutes, no invasions, no other signs at all?

Hey, i tend to have the same issue as well with my friend.

although if both your internets are fine then you should spot each other,
tho quickly saying just incase, both must be human, and its recommended that your both in the same country.

tho since the US for example is huge compared to the UK or france its harder to find your friend.

if your friend is in another country then thats going to be quite hard for you guys to find each other.

also there's the possibility that one of you haven't updated the patch of darksouls (although i doubt thats the case)

also cross platform doesn't work (just saying)

We are both PS3, both alive, I can invade fine (dark root garden is quite bussy), we are both in the same city in the US, I'm at a loss. We used to be able to see each other fine

When you enter an area, do you both reload before trying to connect?

There has definitely been something going on on the PSN lately.

I've co-opped countless times with some buddies from work. Lately I've been seeing "Session Failed" all the time when trying to connect with them.

I'll get summoned into their world for a brief moment, then, sure enough: "Session Failed", and I'm back to my own.

Last night even random white signs would immediately show "Session Failed" when I tried to summon them.

It isn't just PSN. For 3 or 4 days I could hardly get summoned anywhere on XBL. I'd move my sign around for a half-hour or more and I couldn't draw a summons (though for some reason if someone specifically wanted to meet me somewhere that DID eventually work each time). Then the day before yesterday it picked up like nothing ever happened.

This happens to me alot in Darkroot. I will invade, and this guy will be dancing around, seemingly by himself, and will be taking damage. I'm pretty sure this is a Dark Souls issue, and not a conncetion thing. But then, I'm no technology wizard, so I really have no idea.

This is realy wierd, my friend deleated me from his friends list to test if had to do with bieng friends and that didnt seem to do anything. He is level 164 and I am 162, Location: Sen's fortress. he had 3 messages that he had put down previously, I put my sign down, he still didn't see it, he then went and erased his messages and POOF! he sees my sign and the message I put down. WTF
