First Strength/ Faith Build

i am planning out my first str/ fth based build (always went with dex in the past). what stats to you recommend? where should i cap str, end and vit? thanks! oh and my main focus is pve and co- op.

and for weapons i am thinking serpentman sword, bk halberd and maybe dragon bow.

If you use elemental weapons you can cap strength very early saving room for faith. I have 16 strength and use lightning claymore and gargoyles haleberd which both have around 600 damage. What weapon will you use? There is a big difference for the zweihander (req 24) and smoughs hammer ( req 55). Just figure out your weapon, get the standard 40 Vit and End, put everything else in faith. Maybe get yourself a few attunment slots. Oh yeah, if you plan on using great shields your gonna need 30 somthing strength, unless you use the eagle shield, which is good, but very ugly and not great against pyros.

if you're gonna use sunlight blade go with the msgs it's pretty awesome, if you're gonna use the bk hal dot put any points in faith since you can't buff and it has serious requirements to wield.

think i'll forget the bk halberd then , the scaling sucks anyway (bit it looks so friggin cool). how about something like this:

that's almost exactl what my build looks like, I have 40 on vit, end, str and faith, it's for my demon great machete and msgs as my back up and I really like it, I was actually gonna go with a 50 str 30 faith or the one you posted but I don't think itl make much of a difference but if you're gonna use the msgs go with 30 str and 50 faith, with 30 str you can still two hand the machete if you like it, it's my fave sword in the game with the msgs a really close second. Srry for mistakes, I'm on m phone, and can't bother to spell heck.

do you have any experience with the bk halberd? the reason i ask is that 2 more points in str would allow me to use it. is it worth it? and how about the dragon bow ?

it's good but on sl 120 it's not that good, you're better off with a chaos gargoyle hal but it's up to you dude. If it's for pve and co op it doesn't matter

the gargoyle halberd is actually one of favorite weapons but i've found it ineffective against decent shields in pvp. how about you?

it sucks for pvp, every time I hit a shield it bounces off and leaves me open for an attack, it's really annoying.

too bad, it is such a cool weapon for pve.

I might make a 30. Str 50 faith build, you can attune 6 wog and own backstabbers, and with 50 faith sunlight blade would kick *** in pvp.

I personally don't use shields but always have the grass crest shield on my back for the stam regen, just practice and get good at dodging, if you must bock just bock with the grass shield it doesn't matter that it takes 40 hp when you take a hit from a ultra gs. Armor is up to you, just make sure you have enough poise to take a hit from an ultra gs which I think is 77, I'm out of town so I can't check my builds.
