I invade, run and hide. Then send the host a message declaring my good intentions to trade him my goods and services for a minimal fee.

Most of the time people accept it. And have a few things they really want.

I provide and we set agree on the terms.

Its good fun really and I'm making significant gains on what I'm giving away.

I tried doing this once. I sent a guy a message saying "want to trade?" He replied by backstabing me. Oh, what a cruel fate it was.

Try around lower SL's, like 40-60

40 will have you set for Anor Londo, that's where most people need better gear to deal with those Sk's
(SK swords are a blessing in AL)

I cosplay as the RESI4 Merchant. So I always begin my greeting with

Also, if it was me, I'd make it a SL1 character. You could still invade up, and that way, if they choose to bs you rather than trade, they'll get a whopping 50 souls out of it (give or take!). So, their loss!
