Crazy thing is happening in my Kiln

I'm playing offline (not online), just wanted to farm some chunks and my Kiln is gravelorded. Offline. Black Phantom Black Knights who are super aggressive, have like double hp and take more than 1/2 my health with a shield bash. I could go back online since I'm hollow thanks to a black phantom bkga, but I'm afraid my phanoms will go away.

I could be wrong, but if you were online before and got cursed the curse remains even when you go offline. SO that could be what happened. I am sure our resident gravelords can explain what happened better... but I seem to recall reading this somewhere.

My Kiln is still gravelorded even though I'm back online. Haven't seen a gravelord sign, but I also haven't been able to get further than the first two bps. They're scary.

Yeah I had my world gravelorded a few times while farming in the kiln, the worst thing is they all pull with the knight ahead of them, So you pretty much have to fight a beast that can kill you with two hits, and his pal that can kill you in one.

I am not really sure why you are still gravelorded.. Did you try leaving the area and coming back? And did you reset your game entirely or just reload from the main menu?

That's a glitch that happens, you need to be gravelorded again and then have the gravelord killed I'm pretty sure. You could check with one of the sites more known gravelords like Viral or Dx, they know a lot more about the Cov than I do.

I did leave and come back. I haven't tried reloading the game. On the one hand, I do love black phantoms, but on the other hand the knights are really, really difficult.

Right now my gl char is cursing Acidic_Cook's Depths. He's trying to get photos.

Yup sometimes if a Gravelord exits the game before you kill him his curse lingers in your world. I think this is permanent.

They sometimess dissappear if the Gravelord that cursed you is online when you are.

But hey now you can say you are playing the extreme version of Dark Souls.

I have a friend who lost access to internet around the same time he bought Dark Souls. He has NOT upgraded to patch since release. Recently, he described to me "strange things happening" in Painted World. He was Infected...

Here's one of my black phantoms from far away with binoculars.

Just after taking that, I got the "disasters are gone" message and he dissolved in a pile of red smoke and ash. I never did find the gravelord sign, but I also never did make it all the way through the Kiln.

What you want to happen if you are perma gravelorded is to get that message. It is simple code. The disasters are gone message is a trigger to delete the BPs. Gravelord signs behave like any other signs. The populate the pool of players that make up the peer to peer servers, but only 3 in that pool get the BPs.

That is why many people get the disasters are gone message but never see a BP. The sign appeared in their world which cause them to get the message after the gravelord was defeated. I guess I can add to the how to gravelord properly thread how to become un infected.

Hey I got a PS3 when I get back home I want to join you and acidic of course I will gravelord also. maybe we can do the play through that he wanted to do with the shields.

Fear, the scariest thing is when you are halfway through a level and suddely a black phantom spawns right behind you. I had 3 knights chase me down once because I was in the middle of fighting oen when a red appeared behind me, my fighting pulled 1 regular and another red. I am pretty sure I said something like OOH SHII-!!!! as I took a red BKGA to the spine.

Its really a hilarious covenant
